Why Select Crisp? Chat Logo
In this article I’ll cover our Expertise with Crisp, the reason we switched, and how you can make the perfect choice for your business and startup as well. You will understand how to compare live talks and that metrics might be important for you too. Chat Logo
How was that selection made?
Looking at the market leaders With live chat feature out there, we also found Crisp through Producthunt. After we’ve made a Spreadsheet with multiple live chat sellers, we identified that the core attribute and metrics we were looking for.
What did we use before?
We have Used multiple other live chat before, which somehow shifted their attention from a live conversation to a”all in 1 company suite”. Their live chat still functions, but metrics that are significant for us were removed. We have used those metrics for our yearly reports, and client overviews, growth rates and more. After we were in for four weeks those metrics disappeared and were replaced by other metrics. We’ve got a leaderboard for our team members, which we didn’t use because we’re looking for quality support rather than quantity as well as the pricing seems to outperform the advantage. Our choice was clear at that moment: we had to move on.
We found 14 days background, 30 days History and unlimited history (for higher plans that this is common), here the price scaling was interesting. All live chats we tried had this feature, a few at higher price tagsothers together with a badly implemented search feature, therefore the history wasn’t available. With Crisp, the boundless history is already available with their original paid program, and it not only ships with a fair price tag, but also their search works astoundingly well.
How many connections do we need?
First, we attempted to answer that Question with another question”how many customers will chat with us” – and that has been incorrect – we made that mistake once. We can not restrict on the connections we create because we really wish to make contact with them all. Endless contacts was what we were searching for (in a reasonable price label ). What we discovered were discussions with 100 active contacts for $0/month that was quite nice, we climbed that up a little to 1,000 active contacts along with the price tag switched from $0/m to ~$125/m or more (~$500/m). We’ve had that experience of cost scaling for the majority of the solutions. As we did exactly the Exact Same contact metric test for Crisp we saw something different:
So at Crisp, you do not scale by usage – that is enormous! They believe the same way we do at Storyblokwe do not want to limit the user to the usage of the system (eg. Content entries or entries ), we want to scale as their team scales. So at Crisp you choose a program and you can scale the numbers from 10 to 10.000 contacts (or more) with exactly the exact same price tag.
Trigger events / messages
Automated triggers are used to Send a specific message on predefined events, eg. “a guest is on precisely the exact same site for over 30 seconds”. Those causes are a good way to help your viewers with queries they could have. We use it on our pricing page because from time to time there are open questions about our pricing, maybe something isn’t covered in the FAQ section. This component is available in all options we tested and mainly available in the first paid program.
Ability to send campaign messages
From time to time we send emails Using our live chat. We think that it’s a fantastic way to retarget our audience because we ought to be able to send relevant content according to some metrics people live chats offer. In all honesty, we are not sending many emails, because we hate spam on the side. Therefore we want to send certain emails to particular target groups and : we really enjoy the implementation in the Crisp client. It is simple and fulfilled our needs at a sensible price tag.
Amount of agents
The agent chairs is rather Interesting, it’s something that you can control. You could choose 1 account for the entire team (which can be cheap with most options ), or you could go for a single chair for every team member. Since we like to have that personal approach to our customers the idea of using one accounts for the whole group was dropped instantly. We have begun to compare the very first paid plan contrary to the majority of the high tier programs to observe the way the cost scales again. The highest costs we found were approximately ~$155/m per chair where the range was somewhere from $15/m to this. We had a look at Crisp again and saw that their highest package has unlimited agents seats included. Additionally, their free plan allowed 2 representatives, which was excellent for testing. Everybody loves integrations. Integrations to Slack, Telegram, Zendesk, Bitbucket, or Jira – you name it. Most live chats offer integrations into the key channels. We do not actually use integrations that much, but the one we use the maximum is using Slack. Slack is the principal communication tool in our company, we use it on a daily basis and included most of our resources already – so we focused on how they work and perform together with Slack. We analyzed some of these and many are actually working very well. We found one that has huge delays when messaging from and also to Slack that was a no-go for us. We reported that issue to them, but we don’t know if they changed it since we left six months ago. With Crisp the integration worked instantly, notifications came immediately and the whole setup was completed in a few minutes.
“Crisp is the simplest way To communicate with your clients. From sales to client service, Crisp is made to keep your workflow easy. From live chat to email, Crisp offers one station to answer to your users using a very simple team inbox where you are able to handle all of your user inquiries.”
From our experience, Crisp really Ships with the attention on such chat experience for the clients. Which is exactly what we were looking for since we evaluated other solutions.
This one is tricky. If you browse The past few things you noticed that we compared the lower grade plans and feature together with the maximum tier plans, some are cheap at the beginning and be costly as you use them. After using Crisp for six months today, and changed from a competitor because of the expensive”ending” and those feature we did not need but would need to cover. We are glad to say we believe we got the best match for us, maybe it will fit as well for you. We found that the listing of 8 facets above is all you want to find your best fit.
We made contact with incredible Fantastic people (thank You!) And businesses all over the world. We might have had exactly the same experience with other live discussions too, but the price tag combined with the attribute set Crisp does provide, we would and do recommend it to all of customers who are looking for a live discussion themselves. We’ve upgraded to the Crisp unlimited plan a while ago, and are thankful we made that choice.
