Why choose Crisp? Chat Page
In this article I’ll cover our Expertise with Crisp, why we switched, and the way you can make the right decision for your company and startup as well. You may understand how to compare live talks and that metrics could be important for you too. Chat Page
How was that decision made?
Looking at the market leaders With live chat feature on the market, we found Crisp via Producthunt. After we have created a Spreadsheet with numerous live chat vendors, we identified that the core feature and metrics we were searching for.
What did we use before?
We’ve Used multiple other live chat earlier, which somehow shifted their focus from a live conversation to an”all in 1 business suite”. Their live chat still works, but metrics that are important for us were removed. We have used those metrics for our yearly reports, and customer overviews, growth rates and much more. After we had been in for four weeks those metrics disappeared and were replaced with other metrics. We’ve got a leaderboard for our team members, which we didn’t use because we’re searching for quality support rather than quantity and the pricing appears to outperform the benefit. So our decision was clear at that moment: we had to proceed.
We found 14 days history, 30 days History and history (for greater plans that this is common), also here the price scaling was intriguing. All live talks we attempted had this feature, some at higher price tags, others together with a poorly implemented search feature, therefore the history was not available. Together with Crisp, the boundless history is currently available with their first paid plan, and it not only ships with a fair price tag, but also their hunt works exceptionally well.
How many contacts do we want?
We attempted to answer that Question with another question”how many customers will talk with us” – and that has been incorrect – we made that mistake already once. We can not restrict on the contacts we make because we really want to make contact with them all. Endless contacts was what we were searching for (in a reasonable price label ). What we discovered were discussions with 100 active contacts for $0/month that was quite nice, we scaled up that a little to 1,000 active contacts and the price tag shifted from $0/m to ~$125/m or more (~$500/m). We’ve had that experience of cost scaling for most of the solutions. As we did exactly the Exact Same contact metric test for Crisp we watched something different:
So at Crisp, you do not scale by usage – which is huge! They believe the identical way we do at Storyblokwe do not want to restrict the user to the use of the system (eg. Content entrances or entries ), we would like to scale as their team scales. So at Crisp you select a program and you may scale the numbers from 10 to 10.000 contacts (or more) with exactly the exact same price tag.
Trigger events / communications
Automated triggers are used to Send a particular message on predefined events, eg. “a guest is on the same site for over 30 seconds”. Those causes are a good way to help your viewers with queries they could have. We use it on our pricing page because from time to time there are open questions regarding our pricing, possibly something is not covered in the FAQ section. This part is available in most solutions we analyzed and mainly available in the first paid program.
Ability to send campaign messages
From Time to Time we send mails Utilizing our live chat. We think it’s a fantastic way to retarget our audience because we should be able to send relevant content based on some metrics those live talks offer. To be honest, we’re not sending many mails, because we also hate spam on the side. Therefore we like to send certain mails to specific target groups and again: we really enjoy the execution in the Crisp client. It’s straightforward and satisfied our needs at a sensible price tag.
Number of brokers
The agent chairs is kinda Intriguing, it’s something you can control. You could choose 1 accounts for the entire team (which is cheap with most solutions), or you could go for a single seat for every team member. Since we want to get that personal approach to our customers the idea of using one account for the whole team was dropped instantly. We’ve started to compare the very first paid plan contrary to the majority of the high tier plans to see how the cost scales . The highest prices we found were approximately ~$155/m per seat where the scope was somewhere from $15/m to that. We had a peek at Crisp again and saw that their greatest bundle has unlimited agents chairs included. Additionally, their free strategy permitted 2 representatives, which was excellent for analyzing. Everybody enjoys integrations. Integrations to Slack, Telegram, Zendesk, Bitbucket, or Jira – you name it. Most live chats provide integrations into the key channels. We do not really use integrations that much, but the one we use the most is using Slack. Slack is the main communication tool in our business, we use it on a daily basis and added the majority of our resources already – so we focused on how they operate and perform together with Slack. We tested some of these and many are actually working quite well. We found one which has enormous delays when messaging from and also to Slack which was a no-go for us. We reported that issue to these, but we do not know whether they changed it because we left six months ago. Together with Crisp the integration worked immediately, notifications arrived immediately and the entire setup was done in a couple of minutes.
What is Crisp?
“Crisp is the simplest way To speak with your customers. From sales to customer service, Crisp is designed to maintain your workflow simple. From live chat to email, Crisp offers one station to reply to your users using a very simple team inbox where you can handle all your user queries.”

This one is tricky. If you read The last few points you noticed that we contrasted the lower grade plans and attribute with the highest tier programs, some are cheap at the start and become costly as you use them. After using Crisp for six months now, and changed from a competitor because of the expensive”ending” and those attribute we didn’t need but might have to pay for. We are glad to state that we believe we got the very best match for us, perhaps it will fit as well for you. We found the list of 8 facets above is all you need to find your best fit.
We made contact with unbelievable Fantastic people (thank You!) And companies all over the globe. We could have had the exact same experience with other live chats as well, but the price tag combined with the attribute set Crisp does provide, we’d and do recommend it to all customers who are looking for a live chat . We have upgraded to the Crisp endless plan a while ago, and are thankful that we made that decision.
