How was that decision made?
Taking a Look at the market leaders With live chat feature out there, we found Crisp through Producthunt. After we have made a Spreadsheet with numerous live chat vendors, we defined the core feature and metrics we were searching for.
What did we use before?
We’ve Used multiple other live chat earlier, which shifted their attention from a live chat to an”all in one business suite”. Their live chat still functions, but metrics that are important for us were eliminated. We have used those metrics for our monthly reports, and client overviews, growth rates and more. After we were in for four months those metrics disappeared and were replaced with other metrics. We’ve obtained a leaderboard for our team members, which we didn’t use because we’re looking for quality support and not quantity and the pricing seems to outperform the advantage. Our choice was clear at that moment: we had to move on.
Chat log
We found 14 times history, 30 days History and history (for greater plans that this is common), here the price scaling was interesting. All live chats we tried had that attribute, some at higher price tags, others together with a poorly executed search feature, and so the background wasn’t accessible. With Crisp, the boundless history is already available with their original paid program, and it not only ships with a reasonable price tag, but also their search works exceptionally well.
How many connections do we need?
First, we tried to answer that Question with another question”how many customers will talk with us” – and that was incorrect – we made that mistake once. We can’t limit on the connections we make because we really want to earn contact with all of them. Unlimited contacts was exactly what we were looking for (in a reasonable price label ). What we discovered were discussions with 100 active contacts for $0/month which was quite nice, we scaled up that a little to 1,000 active contacts and the price tag shifted from $0/m to ~$125/m or even more (~$500/m). We have had that experience of price scaling for the majority of the solutions. As we did exactly the Exact Same contact metric test for Crisp we watched something different:
So at Crisp, you do not scale by usage – that is huge! They believe the same way we do at Storyblok, we do not wish to restrict the user to the use of this machine (eg. Content entrances or contacts), we want to scale as their team scales. So at Crisp you choose a plan and you may scale the amounts from 10 to 10.000 contacts (or much more ) with exactly the same price tag.
Trigger events / communications
Automated triggers are used to Send a particular message on predefined events, eg. “a guest is on precisely the same site for more than 30 seconds”. Those triggers are a good way to help your viewers with queries they may have. We use it on our pricing page because from time to time there are open questions about our pricing, possibly something isn’t covered in the FAQ section. This part is available in most options we tested and mainly available in the first paid plan.
Possibility to send campaign emails
From Time to Time we send mails Utilizing our live chat. We think that it’s a good way to retarget our audience because we should have the ability to send pertinent content according to some metrics people live chats offer. To be honest, we are not sending many emails, because we also hate spam on the side. So we like to send certain emails to particular target groups and again: we really like the execution in the Crisp client. It’s straightforward and fulfilled our needs at a sensible price tag.
Amount of agents
The agent seats is kinda Intriguing, it is something that you can control. You could choose one account for the entire group (which can be cheap with most solutions), or you might go for a single chair for every team member. Since we want to get this personal approach to our clients the idea of using one account for the whole team was dropped immediately. We have started to compare the very first paid plan against the majority of the high tier plans to see how the price scales again. The greatest prices we discovered were about ~$155/m per chair where the scope was somewhere from $15/m to that. We had a look at Crisp again and saw that their highest bundle has unlimited agents seats included. Additionally, their free plan allowed 2 agents, which was great for analyzing. Chat Script Roblox

Integrations
Everybody enjoys integrations. Integrations into Slack, Telegram, Zendesk, Bitbucket, or Jira – you name it. Most live chats offer integrations into the key stations. We do not actually use integrations that much, but the one we use the maximum is with Slack. Slack is the main communication tool in our company, we utilize it on a daily basis and added the majority of our tools – so we concentrated on how they operate and function together with Slack. We tested some of these and many are actually working quite well. We found one that has enormous delays when messaging from and to Slack which was a no-go for all of us. We reported that issue to these, but we don’t know if they changed it since we left six months ago. Together with Crisp the integration worked immediately, notifications arrived immediately and the whole set-up was done in a couple of minutes.
Control the client via JavaScript
We’re using the chat not Only on the website but also in our program itself. Clients might want to report a problem or simply have a fast question about something, therefore the lead integration, and a possibility to initialize and hide/show the client with JavaScript has been a must-have. It was possible with the majority of live chats we’ve attempted, the documentation of Crisp about their JavaScript SDK is clear and well recorded so we got that operating in less than 30 minutes.
What is Crisp?
“Crisp is the simplest way To communicate with your clients. From sales to customer service, Crisp is made to keep your workflow easy. From live chat to email, Crisp offers one station to reply to your users using a simple team inbox where you are able to handle all of your user queries.”
From our experience, Crisp actually Ships with all the attention on that chat experience for the clients. Which is exactly what we were searching for as we evaluated other solutions.
Cost
This one is tricky. If you read The past few things you saw that we compared the lower grade programs and attribute together with the highest tier programs, some are cheap at the start and become expensive as you use them. After using Crisp for six months today, and changed from a competitor because of that pricey”end” and those attribute we did not need but might have to cover. We are pleased to say that we think we got the very best match for us, maybe it will fit as well for you. We found the listing of 8 aspects above is all you need to find your own best match.
Wrap-up
We made contact with unbelievable Fantastic people (thank You!) And businesses all around the globe. We might have had exactly the same experience with other live chats as well, but the price tag combined with the feature set Crisp does offer, we would and do recommend it to all of clients that are searching for a live discussion themselves. We’ve upgraded to the Crisp unlimited plan some time ago, and are thankful that we made that choice. In case you’ve got a query or wish to tell us about your experience using Crisp along with other live discussions, don’t hesitate to drop us a comment below or send a tweet or talk to us using Crisp!
