How was that selection made?
Looking at the market leaders With live chat feature out there, we also found Crisp via Producthunt. After we’ve created a Spreadsheet with multiple live chat sellers, we defined the core feature and metrics we were looking for.
What did we use previously?
We have Used multiple other live chat earlier, which shifted their focus from a live chat to an”all in one business suite”. Their live chat still works, but metrics which are important for us were eliminated. We’ve used those metrics for our monthly reports, and customer overviews, growth rates and much more. After we were in for four months those metrics disappeared and were replaced with other metrics. We’ve obtained a leaderboard for our team members, which we did not use because we’re looking for quality service rather than quantity and the pricing seems to outperform the benefit. Our decision was clear at that moment: we needed to proceed.
Chat log
We found 14 days history, 30 days History and history (for higher plans this is common), here the cost scaling was intriguing. All live chats we tried had that attribute, some at higher price tags, others combined with a badly implemented search feature, and so the background was not accessible. With Crisp, the unlimited history is already available with their first paid plan, and it not only ships with a reasonable price tag, but also their search works astoundingly well.
How many connections do we need?
We tried to answer that Question with another question”how many clients will talk with us?” – and that has been wrong – we made that mistake already once. We can’t restrict on the connections we create because we really wish to earn contact with all of them. Endless contacts was exactly what we were looking for (at an affordable price label ). What we discovered were discussions with 100 active contacts for $0/month that was quite pleasant, we climbed that up a bit to 1,000 active contacts along with the price tag shifted from $0/m to ~$125/m or even more (~$500/m). We have had that experience of price scaling for most of the solutions. As we did exactly the same contact metric test for Crisp we watched something different:
So at Crisp, you don’t scale by use – that is huge! They believe the identical way we do at Storyblok, we don’t wish to restrict the consumer to the use of the machine (eg. Content entrances or contacts), we would like to scale as their team scales. So at Crisp you choose a program and you may scale the numbers from 10 to 10.000 contacts (or more) with exactly the same price tag.
Trigger events / messages
Automated triggers are used to Send a particular message on predefined events, eg. “a visitor is on precisely the same site for over 30 seconds”. Those triggers are a fantastic method to help your viewers with queries they may have. We use it on our pricing page because from time to time there are open questions about our pricing, possibly something is not covered in the FAQ section. This part is available in most solutions we tested and mainly available in the first paid plan.
Possibility to send campaign emails
From Time to Time we send emails Utilizing our live chat. We think it’s a fantastic way to retarget our audience because we ought to have the ability to send relevant content based on some metrics those live talks offer. To be honest, we’re not sending many emails, because we hate spam on our side. So we want to send certain mails to specific target groups and : we really enjoy the implementation in the Crisp client. It is straightforward and fulfilled our needs at a sensible price tag.
Amount of agents
The agent chairs is kinda Interesting, it’s something that you can control. You could choose 1 account for the entire team (which can be cheap with most options ), or you could go for one seat for each team member. Since we like to have that personal approach to our customers the idea of using one account for the whole team was dropped immediately. We have begun to compare the first paid plan against most of the high tier plans to see the way the price scales again. The greatest costs we found were about ~$155/m per chair where the range was somewhere from $15/m to that. We had a look at Crisp again and found that their greatest bundle has unlimited agents seats included. Also, their free strategy allowed 2 agents, which was excellent for testing. Software Compatibility
Everybody enjoys integrations. Integrations to Slack, Telegram, Zendesk, Bitbucket, or Jira – you name it. Most live chats provide integrations to the main stations. We do not really use integrations that much, but the one we use the most is with Slack. Slack is the main communication tool in our business, we use it on a daily basis and included most of our resources – so we concentrated on how they operate and perform with Slack. We analyzed some of these and many are actually working very well. We found one that has huge delays when messaging from and to Slack which was a no-go for us. We reported that difficulty to these, but we do not know if they changed it because we left six months ago. Together with Crisp the integration worked immediately, notifications arrived immediately and the entire setup was completed in a few minutes.
Control the client via JavaScript
We are using the chat not Only on the site but also in our application itself. Users may want to report a problem or merely have a quick question about something, therefore the lead integration, and a option to initialize and hide/show the customer with JavaScript has been a must-have. It had been possible with the majority of live chats we have tried, the documentation of Crisp about their JavaScript SDK is crystal clear and well documented so that we got that operating in less than 30 minutes.
What’s Crisp?
“Crisp is the simplest way To communicate with your customers. From sales to client service, Crisp is designed to maintain your workflow easy. From live chat to email, Crisp provides a single station to reply to your users using a simple team inbox where you can manage all of your user inquiries.”
From our experience, Crisp actually Ships with the attention on that chat experience for your clients. Which is exactly what we were searching for since we evaluated other alternatives.
Pricing
This one is tricky. If you read The last few things you noticed that we contrasted the lower tier programs and attribute with the maximum tier plans, some are economical at the beginning and be expensive as you use them. After using Crisp for six months now, and switched from a competitor because of that expensive”end” and those feature we did not need but would have to cover. We are glad to say that we think we have the best match for us, perhaps it will fit as well for you. We found the list of 8 facets above is all you need to locate your own best fit.
Wrap-up
We made contact with incredible great people (thank You!) And companies all over the world. We could have had exactly the same experience with other live chats as well, but the price tag combined with the feature set Crisp does offer, we’d and do recommend it to all customers that are looking for a live discussion themselves. We’ve upgraded to the Crisp endless plan a while ago, and are thankful we made that decision. If you’ve got a query or wish to tell us about your experience using Crisp along with other live discussions, feel free to drop us a comment below or send us a conversation or talk to us with Crisp!
