Why Select Crisp? Chaten
In this article I’ll cover our Expertise with Crisp, why we switched, and how you can make the perfect decision for your business and startup too. You may know how to compare live talks and that metrics could be significant for you too. Chaten
How was that selection made?
Taking a Look at the market leaders With live chat feature on the market, we found Crisp via Producthunt. After we have made a Spreadsheet with numerous live chat vendors, we defined the core attribute and metrics we were looking for.
What did we use previously?
We’ve Used several other live chat before, which somehow shifted their focus from a live chat to a”all in one company suite”. Their live chat still functions, but metrics which are significant for us were eliminated. We’ve used those metrics for our monthly reports, and client overviews, growth rates and more. After we were in for four weeks those metrics disappeared and were replaced with other metrics. We’ve got a leaderboard for our staff members, which we did not use because we are searching for quality support and not quantity as well as the pricing appears to outperform the benefit. Our choice was clear at the moment: we had to proceed.
We found 14 days history, 30 days History and history (for greater plans this is common), here the price scaling was interesting. All live chats we tried had this feature, some at higher price tags, others together with a poorly implemented search feature, and so the history wasn’t available. With Crisp, the unlimited history is currently available with their first paid plan, and it not only ships with a reasonable price tag, but also their hunt works astoundingly well.
How many connections do we need?
We tried to answer that Question with another question”how many customers will talk with us?” – and that has been wrong – we made that mistake once. We can’t limit on the contacts we make because we really wish to make contact with all of them. Unlimited contacts was what we were looking for (at a reasonable price tag). What we found were discussions with 100 active contacts for $0/month that was quite nice, we scaled up that a little to 1,000 active contacts and the price tag switched from $0/m to ~$125/m or more (~$500/m). We have had that experience of price scaling for most of the solutions. As we did exactly the Exact Same contact metric test for Crisp we saw something different:
So at Crisp, you do not scale by use – that is huge! They believe the same way we do at Storyblok, we don’t wish to limit the consumer to the usage of the machine (eg. Content entrances or entries ), we want to scale because their staff scales. So at Crisp you choose a program and you may scale the amounts from 10 to 10.000 contacts (or more) with exactly the same price tag.
Trigger events / communications
Automated triggers are used to Send a particular message on predefined events, eg. “a visitor is on precisely the same website for more than 30 seconds”. Those causes are a good method to help your audience with queries they could have. We use it on our pricing page because from time to time there are open questions regarding our pricing, possibly something isn’t covered in the FAQ section. This part can be found in all solutions we analyzed and largely available in the very first paid program.
Ability to send campaign messages
From Time to Time we send emails Using our live chat. We think it’s a good way to retarget our audience because we ought to be able to send pertinent content based on some metrics people live chats offer. In all honesty, we’re not sending many mails, because we hate spam on our side. So we want to send certain mails to particular target groups and again: we really like the implementation in the Crisp client. It is simple and fulfilled our needs at a reasonable price tag.
Number of brokers
The agent seats is kinda Intriguing, it is something you can control. You could choose 1 accounts for the entire team (which can be cheap with the majority of options ), or you could go for a single seat for each team member. Since we like to have this personal approach to our clients the idea of using one accounts for the entire team was dropped immediately. We have begun to compare the very first paid program contrary to most of the high tier programs to observe how the price scales . The greatest costs we discovered were approximately ~$155/m per chair where the scope was somewhere from $15/m to this. We had a look at Crisp again and saw that their greatest bundle has unlimited agents chairs included. Also, their free strategy permitted 2 representatives, which was great for testing. Chaten
Everybody enjoys integrations. Integrations into Slack, Telegram, Zendesk, Bitbucket, or Jira – you name it. Most live chats provide integrations to the main channels. We don’t actually use integrations that much, but the one we use the maximum is with Slack. Slack is the main communication tool in our company, we use it on a daily basis and added most of our resources – so we focused on how they work and perform with Slack. We tested some of these and most are actually working quite well. We found one which has huge delays when messaging from and also to Slack that was a no-go for all of us. We reported that difficulty to these, but we don’t know if they changed it since we left six months ago. With Crisp the integration worked immediately, notifications came immediately and the entire set-up was done in a few minutes.

From our experience, Crisp really Ships with the focus on such chat experience for the customers. Which is exactly what we were searching for since we evaluated other alternatives.
This one is tricky. If you browse The past few things you noticed that we contrasted the lower grade plans and attribute with the highest tier programs, some are cheap at the beginning and be costly as you use them. After using Crisp for six months now, and switched from a competitor because of that expensive”ending” and those feature we did not need but might have to pay for. We’re glad to say that we believe we have the very best fit for us, maybe it will fit as well for you. We found that the list of 8 aspects above is all you want to find your own best match.
We made contact with incredible Fantastic people (thank You!) And companies all around the globe.
