Why Select Crisp? Chris Chatoor
In this article I’ll cover our Expertise with Crisp, the reason we changed, and how you can make the perfect choice for your company and startup as well. You may know how to compare live chats and which metrics might be significant for you also. Chris Chatoor
How was that choice made?
Taking a Look at the market leaders With live chat feature on the market, we also found Crisp through Producthunt. After we’ve made a Spreadsheet with numerous live chat vendors, we defined the core attribute and metrics we were searching for.
What did we use before?
We have Used multiple other live chat earlier, which shifted their attention from a live conversation to an”all in 1 company suite”. Their live chat still works, but metrics which are important for us were removed. We have used those metrics for our yearly reports, and client overviews, growth rates and more. After we had been in for four months those metrics disappeared and were replaced by other metrics. We have got a leaderboard for our staff members, which we didn’t use because we’re looking for quality support and not quantity as well as the pricing seems to outperform the benefit. So our decision was clear at the moment: we had to move on.
We found 14 times background, 30 days History and unlimited history (for greater plans that this is common), here the cost scaling was interesting. All live chats we tried had this attribute, some at higher price tagsothers combined with a badly implemented search feature, and so the history was not accessible. With Crisp, the boundless history is already available with their first paid program, and it not only ships with a fair price tag, also their search works exceptionally well.
How many connections do we need?
First, we attempted to answer that Question with another question”how many customers will talk with us?” – and that has been wrong – we made that mistake once. We can not restrict on the connections we make because we actually want to make contact with all of them. Endless contacts was exactly what we were looking for (in a reasonable price label ). What we discovered were discussions with 100 active contacts for $0/month that was quite pleasant, we climbed that up a bit to 1,000 active contacts and the price tag switched from $0/m to ~$125/m or more (~$500/m). We’ve had that experience of price scaling for most of the solutions. As we did exactly the same contact metric test for Crisp we watched something different:
So at Crisp, you do not scale by usage – which is huge! They think the same way we do in Storyblokwe don’t wish to restrict the user to the use of the system (eg. Content entrances or entries ), we want to scale as their team scales. So at Crisp you choose a program and you may scale the numbers from 10 to 10.000 contacts (or much more ) with exactly the same price tag.
Trigger events / communications
Automated triggers are used to Send a specific message on predefined events, eg. “a visitor is on precisely the same website for over 30 seconds”. Those triggers are a fantastic way to help your audience with queries they may have. We use it on our pricing page since from time to time there are open questions regarding our pricing, maybe something isn’t covered in the FAQ section. This part can be found in most solutions we tested and mainly available in the very first paid program.
Possibility to send campaign emails
From Time to Time we send emails Using our live chat. We think it’s a fantastic way to retarget our viewers because we should have the ability to send pertinent content according to some metrics those live talks offer. In all honesty, we’re not sending many mails, because we hate spam on the side. So we want to send certain mails to particular target groups and again: we really like the implementation in the Crisp customer. It is straightforward and satisfied our needs at a sensible price tag.
Number of agents
The agent seats is kinda Intriguing, it is something you can control. You could choose 1 accounts for the entire group (which is cheap with the majority of solutions), or you could go for a single chair for each team member. Since we like to get this personal approach to our clients the notion of using one account for the entire team was dropped instantly. We have started to compare the very first paid program against the majority of the high tier plans to observe how the price scales . The highest prices we found were about ~$155/m per chair where the scope was somewhere from $15/m to this. We had a peek at Crisp again and saw their highest bundle has unlimited agents seats included. Additionally, their free strategy allowed 2 representatives, which was excellent for testing. Everybody enjoys integrations. Integrations to Slack, Telegram, Zendesk, Bitbucket, or Jira – you name it. Most live chats offer integrations to the key stations. We don’t really use integrations that much, but the one we use the most is with Slack. Slack is the main communication tool in our company, we utilize it on a daily basis and included most of our resources already – so we focused on how they work and perform together with Slack. We analyzed some of these and many are actually working quite well. We found one that has huge delays when messaging from and to Slack which was a no-go for us. We reported that difficulty to these, but we don’t know if they changed it because we left six months ago. Together with Crisp the integration worked instantly, notifications came immediately and the whole setup was completed in a couple of minutes.
What is Crisp?
“Crisp is the simplest way To speak with your clients. From sales to customer service, Crisp is made to maintain your workflow easy. From live chat to email, Crisp provides one channel to reply to your users employing a very simple team inbox where you can manage all your user queries.”
From our experience, Crisp really Ships with the focus on such chat experience for the customers. Which is exactly what we were searching for as we evaluated other alternatives.
This one is tricky. If you browse The past few points you saw that we compared the lower grade plans and feature together with the maximum tier plans, some are economical at the beginning and be expensive as you use them. After using Crisp for six months today, and changed from a competition because of that expensive”ending” and those attribute we didn’t need but would need to cover. We are pleased to say we think we have the very best match for us, maybe it will fit as nicely for you. We saw the list of 8 aspects above is all you want to locate your best fit.
We made contact with incredible great people (thank You!) And businesses all around the world. We might have had the same experience with other live chats too, but the price tag combined with the attribute set Crisp does provide, we would and already do recommend it to all of customers that are searching for a live discussion . We’ve upgraded to the Crisp endless plan a while ago, and are thankful that we made that choice.
