Why choose Crisp? Crisp Logo
In this article I’ll cover our Expertise with Crisp, why we switched, and how it is possible to make the perfect choice for your company and startup as well. You will understand how to compare live talks and that metrics might be important for you also. Crisp Logo
How was that selection made?
Looking at the market leaders With live chat feature on the market, we also found Crisp through Producthunt. After we’ve created a Spreadsheet with multiple live chat vendors, we defined the core feature and metrics we were searching for.
What did we use before?
We’ve Used several other live chat earlier, which somehow shifted their focus from a live conversation to a”all in 1 company suite”. Their live chat still functions, but metrics which are important for us were removed. We’ve used those metrics for our yearly reports, and customer overviews, growth rates and more. After we were in for four weeks those metrics disappeared and were replaced by other metrics. We’ve got a leaderboard for our staff members, which we didn’t use because we are searching for quality service and not quantity and the pricing seems to outperform the benefit. Our decision was clear at the moment: we needed to proceed.
We found 14 times history, 30 days History and unlimited history (for higher plans this is common), here the price scaling was interesting. All live talks we tried had this attribute, a few at higher price tagsothers together with a badly implemented search feature, and so the background was not accessible. Together with Crisp, the unlimited history is currently available with their original paid plan, and it not only ships with a reasonable price tag, but also their hunt works exceptionally well.
How many contacts do we need?
We attempted to answer that Question with another question”how many clients will chat with us” – and that was incorrect – we made that mistake already once. We can’t restrict on the connections we create because we actually wish to make contact with all of them. Endless contacts was exactly what we were searching for (in an affordable price label ). What we found were discussions with 100 active contacts for $0/month that was quite pleasant, we climbed up that a bit to 1,000 active contacts along with the price tag switched from $0/m to ~$125/m or more (~$500/m). We have had that experience of price scaling for the majority of the solutions. As we did the Exact Same contact metric evaluation for Crisp we saw something different:
So at Crisp, you don’t scale by usage – that is enormous! They believe the same way we do at Storyblok, we don’t wish to restrict the user to the usage of this system (eg. Content entries or contacts), we want to scale as their team scales. So at Crisp you select a program and you may scale the numbers from 10 to 10.000 contacts (or more) with exactly the exact same price tag.
Trigger events / messages
Automated triggers are used to Send a specific message on predefined events, eg. “a guest is on the exact same site for over 30 seconds”. Those triggers are a good way to help your viewers with questions they may have. We use it on our pricing page because from time to time there are open questions regarding our pricing, maybe something is not covered in the FAQ section. This part is available in most solutions we tested and mainly available in the first paid program.
Possibility to send campaign messages
From Time to Time we send emails Using our live chat. We think it’s a good way to retarget our viewers because we should have the ability to send pertinent content according to some metrics people live chats provide. To be honest, we’re not sending many mails, because we also hate spam on our side. So we like to send specific mails to specific target groups and : we really enjoy the implementation in the Crisp customer. It is simple and satisfied our needs at a sensible price tag.
Amount of brokers
The agent seats is kinda Intriguing, it’s something that you can control. You could choose one account for the whole group (which can be cheap with the majority of solutions), or you might go for one seat for each team member. Since we like to get this personal approach to our clients the idea of using one account for the entire group was dropped immediately. We have begun to compare the very first paid program against most of the high tier programs to see the way the cost scales . The greatest costs we found were approximately ~$155/m per chair where the scope was somewhere from $15/m to this. We had a peek at Crisp again and found that their greatest bundle has unlimited agents seats included. Also, their free plan allowed 2 representatives, which was excellent for testing. Crisp Logo
Everybody loves integrations. Integrations into Slack, Telegram, Zendesk, Bitbucket, or Jira – you name it. Most live chats provide integrations to the main channels. We don’t actually utilize integrations that much, but the one we use the most is with Slack. Slack is the main communication tool in our company, we utilize it on a daily basis and included the majority of our resources – so we concentrated on how they operate and function with Slack. We tested some of them and many are actually working quite well. We found one that has enormous delays when messaging from and to Slack which was a no-go for all of us. We reported that issue to these, but we don’t know whether they changed it since we left six months ago. With Crisp the integration worked immediately, notifications arrived immediately and the entire setup was done in a couple of minutes.
What is Crisp?
“Crisp is the simplest way To communicate with your clients. From sales to client support, Crisp is designed to keep your workflow simple. From live chat to email, Crisp provides a single channel to answer to your users employing a very simple team inbox where you can handle all your user queries.”
From our experience, Crisp really Ships with the focus on such chat experience for your customers. Which is precisely what we were searching for since we evaluated other alternatives.
This one is tricky. If you browse The past few things you saw that we compared the lower grade programs and attribute with the maximum tier plans, some are economical at the start and be costly as you use them. After using Crisp for six months today, and changed from a competition because of that pricey”end” and those feature we did not need but would have to cover. We’re glad to say that we think we have the best match for us, maybe it will fit as well for you. We saw the list of 8 facets above is all you want to find your own best fit.
We made contact with incredible great people (thank You!) And businesses all over the globe. We could have had the same experience with other live discussions too, but the price tag combined with the attribute set Crisp does offer, we would and do recommend it to all of customers who are looking for a live discussion themselves. We have updated to the Crisp unlimited plan some time ago, and are glad we made that choice.
