How was that selection made?
Looking at the market leaders With live chat feature on the market, we found Crisp through Producthunt. After we’ve made a Spreadsheet with numerous live chat sellers, we defined the core feature and metrics we were searching for.
What did we use previously?
We have Used multiple other live chat earlier, which shifted their attention from a live conversation to a”all in one business suite”. Their live chat still functions, but metrics which are important for us were eliminated. We’ve used those metrics for our yearly reports, and customer overviews, growth rates and much more. After we had been in for four months those metrics disappeared and were replaced with other metrics. We’ve got a leaderboard for our team members, which we did not use because we’re searching for quality support and not quantity and the pricing seems to outperform the benefit. Our decision was apparent at that moment: we needed to move on.
Chat log
We found 14 times history, 30 days History and unlimited history (for greater plans that this is common), also here the cost scaling was intriguing. All live talks we attempted had that attribute, a few at higher price tags, others combined with a badly implemented search feature, therefore the history wasn’t accessible. With Crisp, the unlimited history is already available with their original paid program, and it not only ships with a reasonable price tag, also their hunt works exceptionally well.
How many connections do we want?
We tried to answer that Question with another question”how many clients will chat with us” – and that has been incorrect – we made that mistake once. We can’t restrict on the connections we make because we really want to earn contact with them all. Endless contacts was exactly what we were searching for (at an affordable price label ). What we found were chats with 100 active contacts for $0/month that was quite nice, we climbed that up a bit to 1,000 active contacts and the price tag switched from $0/m to ~$125/m or even more (~$500/m). We have had that experience of cost scaling for most of the solutions. As we did the Exact Same contact metric evaluation for Crisp we saw something different:
So at Crisp, you don’t scale by usage – that is enormous! They think the same way we do at Storyblok, we don’t wish to limit the user to the use of the system (eg. Content entries or entries ), we would like to scale as their staff scales. So at Crisp you select a program and you may scale the amounts from 10 to 10.000 contacts (or much more ) with the exact same price tag.
Trigger events / communications
Automated triggers are Utilized to Send a particular message on predefined events, eg. “a guest is on the same site for over 30 seconds”. Those triggers are a fantastic way to help your viewers with questions they could have. We use it on our pricing page because from time to time there are open questions regarding our pricing, possibly something isn’t covered in the FAQ section. This component can be found in all options we tested and largely available in the first paid plan.
Ability to send campaign messages
From time to time we send emails Utilizing our live chat. We think that it’s a fantastic way to retarget our viewers because we should have the ability to send relevant content according to some metrics people live chats provide. To be honest, we’re not sending many mails, because we hate spam on our side. Therefore we want to send certain emails to specific target groups and again: we really enjoy the implementation in the Crisp customer. It is simple and fulfilled our needs at a sensible price tag.
Amount of agents
The broker seats is rather Interesting, it’s something that you can control. You could choose 1 account for the entire team (which can be cheap with most solutions), or you might go for a single chair for every team member. Since we want to have that personal approach to our clients the notion of using one account for the whole team was dropped instantly. We have begun to compare the first paid program contrary to the majority of the high tier plans to see the way the cost scales again. The greatest prices we found were about ~$155/m per chair where the scope was somewhere from $15/m to that. We had a look at Crisp again and saw that their greatest bundle has unlimited agents seats included. Also, their free strategy permitted 2 representatives, which was excellent for testing. Software Compatibility
Everybody enjoys integrations. Integrations to Slack, Telegram, Zendesk, Bitbucket, or Jira – you name it. Most live chats provide integrations into the key stations. We don’t actually use integrations that much, but the one we use the maximum is using Slack. Slack is the main communication tool in our business, we use it on a daily basis and added most of our tools already – so we concentrated on how they work and function with Slack. We analyzed some of these and many are actually working quite well. We found one that has huge delays when messaging from and also to Slack that was a no-go for us. We reported that issue to them, but we don’t know whether they changed it since we left six months ago. With Crisp the integration worked instantly, notifications came immediately and the entire setup was completed in a couple of minutes.
Control the client via JavaScript
We’re using the chat not Only on the website but also in our application itself. Clients might want to report an issue or merely have a quick question about something, therefore the lead integration, and a possibility to initialize and hide/show the customer with JavaScript has been a must-have. It was possible with most live chats we have attempted, the documentation of Crisp about their JavaScript SDK is crystal clear and well recorded so we got that operating in less than half an hour.
What is Crisp?
“Crisp is the simplest way To communicate with your clients. From sales to customer service, Crisp is made to maintain your workflow simple. From live chat to email, Crisp offers a single station to answer to your users using a very simple team inbox where you are able to manage all of your user queries.”
From our experience, Crisp really Ships with the focus on such chat experience for the customers. That is exactly what we were searching for as we evaluated other solutions.
Pricing
This one is tricky. If you read The past few things you noticed that we compared the lower grade programs and attribute together with the highest tier plans, some are economical at the start and be expensive as you use them. After using Crisp for six months now, and changed from a competitor because of the pricey”ending” and those feature we did not need but might need to pay for. We are pleased to state we believe we got the very best match for us, perhaps it will fit as nicely for you. We found the listing of 8 facets above is all you need to locate your own best fit.
Summary
We made contact with incredible great people (thank You!) And companies all over the world. We could have had exactly the same experience with other live chats as well, but the price tag combined with the attribute set Crisp does offer, we would and do recommend it to all customers that are searching for a live chat . We have updated to the Crisp endless plan some time ago, and are thankful we made that decision.
