How was that selection made?
Looking at the market leaders With live chat feature out there, we found Crisp through Producthunt. After we have made a Spreadsheet with numerous live chat sellers, we identified that the core attribute and metrics we were looking for.
What did we use before?
We have Used multiple other live chat earlier, which shifted their attention from a live conversation to an”all in 1 company suite”. Their live chat still functions, but metrics which are significant for us were eliminated. We’ve used those metrics for our monthly reports, and customer overviews, growth rates and more. After we had been in for four months those metrics disappeared and were replaced by other metrics. We’ve got a leaderboard for our team members, which we did not use because we’re searching for quality service rather than quantity and the pricing appears to outperform the advantage. Our choice was apparent at the moment: we had to move on.
Chat log
We found 14 days history, 30 days History and history (for greater plans that this is common), also here the cost scaling was interesting. All live chats we attempted had that attribute, some at higher price tags, others together with a poorly executed search feature, therefore the background wasn’t accessible. Together with Crisp, the boundless history is currently available with their first paid program, and it not only ships with a reasonable price tag, but also their search works astoundingly well.
How many connections do we want?
We attempted to answer that Question with another question”how many clients will chat with us” – and that has been incorrect – we made that mistake already once. We can’t limit on the connections we make because we actually want to make contact with all of them. Endless contacts was what we were searching for (at a reasonable price tag). What we discovered were discussions with 100 active contacts for $0/month which was quite pleasant, we scaled that up a bit to 1,000 active contacts along with the price tag shifted from $0/m to ~$125/m or even more (~$500/m). We’ve had that experience of cost scaling for most of the solutions. As we did the Exact Same contact metric test for Crisp we saw something different:
So at Crisp, you don’t scale by usage – that is huge! They think the same way we do in Storyblokwe don’t wish to restrict the consumer to the usage of the system (eg. Content entrances or contacts), we would like to scale as their team scales. So at Crisp you select a plan and you can scale the amounts from 10 to 10.000 contacts (or much more ) with exactly the exact same price tag.
Trigger events / messages
Automated triggers are used to Send a particular message on predefined events, eg. “a guest is on precisely the same site for over 30 seconds”. Those causes are a fantastic method to help your audience with questions they may have. We use it on our pricing page since from time to time there are open questions regarding our pricing, possibly something isn’t covered in the FAQ section. This component is available in all solutions we tested and largely available in the first paid plan.
Possibility to send campaign messages
From Time to Time we send emails Using our live chat. We think that it’s a good way to retarget our viewers because we should be able to send pertinent content according to some metrics people live talks offer. To be honest, we’re not sending many mails, because we also hate spam on our side. So we like to send specific mails to particular target groups and again: we really like the implementation in the Crisp customer. It is straightforward and fulfilled our needs at a reasonable price tag.
Amount of agents
The agent seats is rather Intriguing, it is something you can control. You could choose one accounts for the whole team (which can be cheap with the majority of solutions), or you could go for a single seat for every team member. Since we want to get that personal approach to our clients the idea of using one accounts for the entire group was dropped instantly. We’ve started to compare the first paid plan contrary to most of the high tier programs to observe the way the cost scales again. The highest costs we discovered were approximately ~$155/m per chair where the scope was somewhere from $15/m to that. We had a peek at Crisp again and found that their highest bundle has unlimited agents seats included. Additionally, their free plan allowed 2 agents, which was excellent for analyzing. Integrations
Everybody loves integrations. Integrations into Slack, Telegram, Zendesk, Bitbucket, or Jira – you name it. Most live chats provide integrations to the main channels. We do not really utilize integrations that much, but the one we use the most is with Slack. Slack is the main communication tool in our company, we utilize it on a daily basis and included the majority of our tools – so we focused on how they operate and function with Slack. We tested some of these and many are actually working quite well. We found one that has enormous delays when messaging from and to Slack which was a no-go for us. We reported that difficulty to these, but we don’t know if they changed it since we left six months ago. With Crisp the integration worked instantly, notifications came immediately and the whole setup was done in a few minutes.
Control the client via JavaScript
We are using the live chat not Only on the website but also in our program itself. Clients may want to report a problem or simply have a quick question about something, hence the lead integration, and a possibility to initialize and hide/show the client with JavaScript was a must-have. It had been possible with most live chats we have attempted, the documentation of Crisp about their JavaScript SDK is crystal clear and well documented so that we got that running in less than 30 minutes.
What is Crisp?
“Crisp is the simplest way To speak with your clients. From sales to client service, Crisp is designed to keep your workflow easy. From live chat to email, Crisp offers a single station to reply to your users using a very simple team inbox where you can manage all of your user queries.”
From our experience, Crisp actually Ships with all the attention on that chat experience for the customers. Which is precisely what we were searching for as we evaluated other alternatives.
Cost
This one is tricky. If you read The last few points you noticed that we contrasted the lower grade plans and attribute with the maximum tier plans, some are cheap at the start and be expensive as you use them. After using Crisp for six months today, and changed from a competition because of the pricey”ending” and those feature we didn’t need but might have to pay for. We are glad to state we believe we got the best match for us, perhaps it will fit as nicely for you. We found the list of 8 aspects above is all you want to find your best match.
Summary
We made contact with incredible great people (thank You!) And companies all over the world. We could have had exactly the same experience with other live chats too, but the price combined with the attribute set Crisp does provide, we would and do recommend it to all of clients who are looking for a live chat . We’ve upgraded to the Crisp endless plan some time ago, and are thankful we made that choice.
