Why Select Crisp? Free Support Chat
In this article I’ll cover our Expertise with Crisp, the reason we switched, and the way you can make the right decision for your business and startup as well. You may know how to compare live chats and which metrics might be significant for you also. Free Support Chat
How was that decision made?
Taking a Look at the market leaders With live chat feature out there, we also found Crisp through Producthunt. After we’ve made a Spreadsheet with numerous live chat sellers, we defined the core feature and metrics we were searching for.
What did we use previously?
We’ve Used multiple other live chat before, which somehow shifted their focus from a live conversation to an”all in one business suite”. Their live chat still functions, but metrics that are important for us were removed. We have used those metrics for our monthly reports, and customer overviews, growth rates and much more. After we were in for four months those metrics disappeared and were replaced by other metrics. We’ve obtained a leaderboard for our team members, which we did not use because we’re looking for quality support and not quantity and the pricing seems to outperform the benefit. Our choice was apparent at the moment: we had to move on.
We found 14 days background, 30 days History and unlimited history (for greater plans this is common), here the cost scaling was intriguing. All live chats we tried had that feature, some at higher price tagsothers together with a poorly executed search feature, and so the history wasn’t accessible. Together with Crisp, the unlimited history is currently available with their original paid program, and it not only ships with a reasonable price tag, also their search works exceptionally well.
How many connections do we need?
First, we attempted to answer that Question with another question”how many customers will talk with us” – and that was wrong – we made that mistake once. We can not restrict on the connections we make because we really want to earn contact with all of them. Endless contacts was exactly what we were searching for (at an affordable price label ). What we found were discussions with 100 active contacts for $0/month that was quite nice, we climbed that up a bit to 1,000 active contacts along with the price tag shifted from $0/m to ~$125/m or more (~$500/m). We have had that experience of price scaling for most of the solutions. As we did the Exact Same contact metric test for Crisp we watched something different:
So at Crisp, you don’t scale by use – which is enormous! They think the same way we do in Storyblokwe do not want to restrict the user to the usage of this system (eg. Content entrances or contacts), we would like to scale because their staff scales. So at Crisp you select a plan and you may scale the numbers from 10 to 10.000 contacts (or more) with the exact same price tag.
Trigger events / messages
Automated triggers are used to Send a particular message on predefined events, eg. “a guest is on precisely the same website for more than 30 seconds”. Those causes are a good way to help your viewers with questions they could have. We use it on our pricing page because from time to time there are open questions regarding our pricing, possibly something is not covered in the FAQ section. This part is available in all options we analyzed and mainly available in the very first paid program.
Ability to send campaign messages
From time to time we send mails Using our live chat. We think that it’s a good way to retarget our audience because we should be able to send relevant content according to some metrics those live talks offer. To be honest, we are not sending many mails, because we also hate spam on our side. So we want to send certain mails to specific target groups and : we really like the execution in the Crisp customer. It is simple and satisfied our needs at a sensible price tag.
Amount of agents
The broker chairs is kinda Intriguing, it is something that you can control. You could choose 1 accounts for the whole group (which can be cheap with most options ), or you might go for one seat for every team member. Since we like to get that personal approach to our clients the notion of using one account for the whole team was dropped immediately. We have started to compare the very first paid program contrary to most of the high tier plans to observe the way the price scales again. The highest costs we found were approximately ~$155/m per seat where the range was somewhere from $15/m to that. We had a peek at Crisp again and found that their greatest package has unlimited agents chairs included. Additionally, their free plan permitted 2 agents, which was excellent for testing. Everybody enjoys integrations. Integrations into Slack, Telegram, Zendesk, Bitbucket, or Jira – you name it. Most live chats offer integrations to the main channels. We do not actually utilize integrations that much, but the one we use the most is with Slack. Slack is the main communication tool in our business, we use it on a daily basis and included most of our resources already – so we focused on how they operate and function with Slack. We analyzed some of these and many are actually working very well. We found one that has enormous delays when messaging from and also to Slack that was a no-go for all of us. We reported that difficulty to these, but we don’t know whether they changed it since we left six months ago. Together with Crisp the integration worked instantly, notifications came immediately and the whole set-up was completed in a couple of minutes.
“Crisp is the simplest way To speak with your clients. From sales to client support, Crisp is made to keep your workflow easy. From live chat to email, Crisp provides a single channel to reply to your users employing a very simple team inbox where you can manage all your user queries.”
From our experience, Crisp actually Ships with all the attention on such chat experience for your clients. Which is precisely what we were looking for as we evaluated other alternatives.
This one is tricky. If you read The last few points you noticed that we compared the lower grade programs and feature together with the highest tier plans, some are cheap at the beginning and become costly as you use them. After using Crisp for six months now, and switched from a competitor because of that pricey”ending” and those feature we didn’t need but might have to cover. We are pleased to state that we believe we have the best fit for us, perhaps it will fit as well for you. We saw that the listing of 8 aspects above is all you want to find your best fit.
We made contact with incredible great people (thank You!) And companies all over the world. We might have had exactly the same experience with other live chats too, but the price tag combined with the feature set Crisp does offer, we would and already do recommend it to all clients who are searching for a live discussion themselves. We’ve updated to the Crisp endless plan a while ago, and are glad that we made that choice.
