Why choose Crisp? Html Accented Letters
In this article I’ll cover our Expertise with Crisp, the reason we switched, and how you can make the right choice for your company and startup as well. You will know how to compare live chats and which metrics could be significant for you too. Html Accented Letters
How was that choice made?
Looking at the market leaders With live chat feature on the market, we found Crisp through Producthunt. After we have made a Spreadsheet with multiple live chat vendors, we defined the core feature and metrics we were searching for.
What did we use before?
We have Used multiple other live chat before, which shifted their focus from a live chat to a”all in 1 business suite”. Their live chat still functions, but metrics which are significant for us were removed. We’ve used those metrics for our monthly reports, and client overviews, growth rates and much more. After we were in for four months those metrics vanished and were replaced by other metrics. We’ve got a leaderboard for our team members, which we did not use because we are looking for quality service and not quantity and the pricing appears to outperform the benefit. Our decision was apparent at the moment: we had to move on.
We found 14 days history, 30 days History and history (for higher plans that this is common), also here the cost scaling was interesting. All live talks we attempted had that feature, a few at higher price tags, others combined with a poorly implemented search feature, and so the history was not available. With Crisp, the unlimited history is already available with their first paid plan, and it not only ships with a fair price tag, but also their search works astoundingly well.
How many connections do we want?
First, we tried to answer that Question with another question”how many customers will chat with us” – and that was incorrect – we made that mistake already once. We can’t restrict on the contacts we create because we actually wish to make contact with all of them. Endless contacts was what we were searching for (in a reasonable price tag). What we discovered were discussions with 100 active contacts for $0/month which was quite nice, we climbed that up a bit to 1,000 active contacts along with the price tag shifted from $0/m to ~$125/m or even more (~$500/m). We’ve had that experience of cost scaling for most of the solutions. As we did the same contact metric test for Crisp we watched something different:
So at Crisp, you don’t scale by use – which is enormous! They think the identical way we do at Storyblokwe don’t wish to restrict the consumer to the use of the system (eg. Content entrances or contacts), we would like to scale because their team scales. So at Crisp you select a program and you may scale the amounts from 10 to 10.000 contacts (or much more ) with exactly the same price tag.
Trigger events / messages
Automated triggers are Utilized to Send a specific message on predefined events, eg. “a guest is on precisely the exact same website for over 30 seconds”. Those causes are a fantastic method to help your audience with queries they may have. We use it on our pricing page because from time to time there are open questions regarding our pricing, maybe something is not covered in the FAQ section. This part can be found in all options we analyzed and largely available in the first paid program.
Ability to send campaign emails
From time to time we send emails Using our live chat. We think it’s a good way to retarget our viewers because we ought to be able to send pertinent content based on some metrics those live chats provide. To be honest, we’re not sending many mails, because we also hate spam on our side. So we like to send specific emails to specific target groups and again: we really like the implementation in the Crisp client. It’s straightforward and fulfilled our needs at a reasonable price tag.
Number of brokers
The agent seats is rather Interesting, it’s something you can control. You could choose one account for the entire group (which is cheap with most options ), or you might go for a single seat for every team member. Since we like to have that personal approach to our clients the notion of using one account for the whole team was dropped immediately. We’ve begun to compare the very first paid plan against most of the high tier programs to observe the way the price scales . The highest costs we found were about ~$155/m per chair where the range was somewhere from $15/m to that. We had a look at Crisp again and found that their greatest bundle has unlimited agents seats included. Additionally, their free strategy allowed 2 agents, which was great for testing. Everybody enjoys integrations. Integrations into Slack, Telegram, Zendesk, Bitbucket, or Jira – you name it. Most live chats offer integrations into the key stations. We do not really use integrations that much, but the one we use the maximum is with Slack. Slack is the main communication tool in our company, we use it on a daily basis and added most of our resources already – so we focused on how they operate and function together with Slack. We tested some of these and many are actually working very well. We found one which has huge delays when messaging from and also to Slack that was a no-go for all of us. We reported that difficulty to them, but we don’t know if they changed it because we left six months ago. With Crisp the integration worked instantly, notifications came immediately and the whole setup was completed in a couple of minutes.
What is Crisp?
“Crisp is the simplest way To communicate with your customers. From sales to client service, Crisp is designed to keep your workflow easy. From live chat to email, Crisp offers one station to reply to your users employing a simple team inbox where you are able to handle all your user inquiries.”

This one is tricky. If you read The last few things you saw that we compared the lower tier programs and attribute with the maximum tier programs, some are economical at the beginning and be expensive as you use them. After using Crisp for six months today, and switched from a competitor because of that expensive”ending” and those feature we did not need but might have to pay for. We are glad to state we believe we got the best match for us, maybe it will fit as nicely for you. We found the list of 8 facets above is all you need to locate your best match.
We made contact with unbelievable great people (thank You!) And businesses all around the world. We could have had exactly the exact same experience with other live chats too, but the price combined with the attribute set Crisp does offer, we would and already do recommend it to all customers who are looking for a live chat themselves. We have updated to the Crisp unlimited plan some time ago, and are glad we made that decision.
