Why choose Crisp? Live Chat
In this article I’ll cover our Experience with Crisp, why we switched, and how you can make the right decision for your company and startup as well. You will understand how to compare live talks and that metrics might be significant for you too. Live Chat
How was that decision made?
Looking at the market leaders With live chat feature on the market, we found Crisp via Producthunt. After we’ve made a Spreadsheet with multiple live chat sellers, we identified that the core attribute and metrics we were looking for.
What did we use before?
We’ve Used multiple other live chat earlier, which shifted their focus from a live chat to an”all in one company suite”. Their live chat still works, but metrics which are important for us were eliminated. We’ve used those metrics for our monthly reports, and client overviews, growth rates and more. After we were in for four months those metrics vanished and were replaced by other metrics. We have obtained a leaderboard for our team members, which we did not use because we are looking for quality support and not quantity and the pricing appears to outperform the advantage. Our choice was clear at that moment: we needed to move on.
We found 14 days background, 30 days History and unlimited history (for higher plans this is common), also here the price scaling was interesting. All live talks we tried had that attribute, a few at higher price tags, others together with a badly implemented search feature, and so the background was not accessible. Together with Crisp, the unlimited history is currently available with their first paid plan, and it not only ships with a fair price tag, also their hunt works exceptionally well.
How many connections do we need?
First, we attempted to answer that Question with another question”how many customers will talk with us?” – and that has been wrong – we made that mistake once. We can’t restrict on the connections we make because we really wish to make contact with all of them. Endless contacts was exactly what we were looking for (at an affordable price label ). What we discovered were chats with 100 active contacts for $0/month that was quite nice, we scaled that up a bit to 1,000 active contacts along with the price tag switched from $0/m to ~$125/m or even more (~$500/m). We’ve had that experience of cost scaling for the majority of the solutions. As we did the same contact metric test for Crisp we watched something different:
So at Crisp, you don’t scale by usage – which is enormous! They believe the identical way we do at Storyblok, we don’t wish to restrict the consumer to the usage of this system (eg. Content entries or entries ), we would like to scale as their staff scales. So at Crisp you choose a plan and you may scale the amounts from 10 to 10.000 contacts (or much more ) with exactly the exact same price tag.
Trigger events / messages
Automated triggers are Utilized to Send a specific message on predefined events, eg. “a guest is on precisely the same site for more than 30 seconds”. Those causes are a fantastic method to help your audience with questions they could have. We use it on our pricing page because from time to time there are open questions regarding our pricing, maybe something isn’t covered in the FAQ section. This component can be found in most solutions we analyzed and largely available in the very first paid program.
Possibility to send campaign emails
From time to time we send mails Using our live chat. We think that it’s a good way to retarget our viewers because we should be able to send relevant content based on some metrics people live talks offer. To be honest, we’re not sending many mails, because we hate spam on the side. Therefore we want to send certain emails to specific target groups and : we really like the execution in the Crisp customer. It’s simple and fulfilled our needs at a reasonable price tag.
Amount of agents
The broker chairs is rather Intriguing, it’s something you can control. You could choose 1 accounts for the entire team (which is cheap with most solutions), or you could go for a single seat for each team member. Since we like to have this personal approach to our clients the notion of using one accounts for the entire team was dropped immediately. We have started to compare the very first paid program against the majority of the high tier plans to observe the way the price scales again. The highest costs we discovered were approximately ~$155/m per seat where the range was somewhere from $15/m to that. We had a look at Crisp again and saw their greatest package has unlimited agents seats included. Additionally, their free strategy allowed 2 agents, which was great for analyzing. Live Chat
Everybody enjoys integrations. Integrations into Slack, Telegram, Zendesk, Bitbucket, or Jira – you name it. Most live chats provide integrations into the key stations. We do not really use integrations that much, but the one we use the most is with Slack. Slack is the main communication tool in our company, we use it on a daily basis and added the majority of our resources – so we focused on how they operate and perform together with Slack. We analyzed some of these and most are actually working quite well. We found one that has enormous delays when messaging from and to Slack which was a no-go for us. We reported that issue to them, but we don’t know whether they changed it since we left six months ago. With Crisp the integration worked immediately, notifications arrived immediately and the entire set-up was done in a couple of minutes.

This one is tricky. If you browse The past few things you noticed that we compared the lower grade plans and feature together with the highest tier plans, some are economical at the beginning and become costly as you use them. After using Crisp for six months today, and changed from a competition because of the pricey”ending” and those attribute we didn’t need but might need to cover. We are glad to state we think we have the very best match for us, maybe it will fit as nicely for you. We saw that the listing of 8 facets above is all you want to find your own best fit.
We made contact with unbelievable Fantastic people (thank You!) And companies all around the globe. We might have had the same experience with other live chats too, but the price tag combined with the attribute set Crisp does offer, we’d and already do recommend it to all customers who are searching for a live discussion themselves.
