Why choose Crisp? Live Chat Room
In this article I’ll cover our Expertise with Crisp, the reason we changed, and how you can make the right decision for your business and startup too. You may know how to compare live talks and that metrics could be important for you too. Live Chat Room
How was that decision made?
Looking at the market leaders With live chat feature on the market, we found Crisp via Producthunt. After we have made a Spreadsheet with multiple live chat vendors, we identified that the core feature and metrics we were looking for.
What did we use previously?
We have Used several other live chat earlier, which shifted their focus from a live conversation to a”all in one company suite”. Their live chat still functions, but metrics that are significant for us were eliminated. We’ve used those metrics for our monthly reports, and customer overviews, growth rates and much more. After we had been in for four weeks those metrics disappeared and were replaced with other metrics. We have got a leaderboard for our team members, which we did not use because we are looking for quality service and not quantity and the pricing seems to outperform the advantage. Our choice was clear at the moment: we needed to proceed.
We found 14 times background, 30 days History and history (for higher plans this is common), also here the cost scaling was intriguing. All live talks we attempted had this feature, a few at higher price tags, others together with a badly executed search feature, and so the background was not available. Together with Crisp, the unlimited history is currently available with their first paid plan, and it not only ships with a reasonable price tag, also their search works exceptionally well.
How many contacts do we want?
First, we attempted to answer that Question with another question”how many clients will talk with us” – and that was wrong – we made that mistake already once. We can’t restrict on the contacts we make because we really wish to earn contact with them all. Endless contacts was exactly what we were searching for (at an affordable price tag). What we discovered were discussions with 100 active contacts for $0/month that was quite nice, we scaled that up a bit to 1,000 active contacts along with the price tag shifted from $0/m to ~$125/m or even more (~$500/m). We have had that experience of price scaling for most of the solutions. As we did exactly the Exact Same contact metric test for Crisp we watched something different:
So at Crisp, you don’t scale by usage – which is huge! They think the same way we do in Storyblokwe do not want to limit the consumer to the usage of the system (eg. Content entrances or entries ), we would like to scale as their staff scales. So at Crisp you choose a plan and you may scale the numbers from 10 to 10.000 contacts (or much more ) with the exact same price tag.
Trigger events / communications
Automated triggers are used to Send a particular message on predefined events, eg. “a visitor is on precisely the same site for more than 30 seconds”. Those triggers are a good way to help your audience with questions they could have. We use it on our pricing page because from time to time there are open questions regarding our pricing, maybe something isn’t covered in the FAQ section. This part is available in all solutions we tested and mainly available in the very first paid program.
Ability to send campaign messages
From time to time we send emails Using our live chat. We think it’s a fantastic way to retarget our audience because we ought to have the ability to send relevant content according to some metrics people live chats provide. To be honest, we’re not sending many mails, because we also hate spam on our side. So we like to send specific mails to particular target groups and again: we really enjoy the execution in the Crisp customer. It is simple and satisfied our needs at a sensible price tag.
Amount of brokers
The agent seats is kinda Intriguing, it is something you can control. You could choose 1 account for the entire team (which is cheap with most options ), or you could go for a single seat for every team member. Since we like to get that personal approach to our customers the notion of using one accounts for the entire group was dropped instantly. We have started to compare the first paid program contrary to the majority of the high tier programs to see how the cost scales again. The highest costs we found were about ~$155/m per seat where the range was somewhere from $15/m to that. We had a look at Crisp again and saw their highest bundle has unlimited agents chairs included. Additionally, their free strategy allowed 2 agents, which was great for analyzing. Live Chat Room
Everybody loves integrations. Integrations into Slack, Telegram, Zendesk, Bitbucket, or Jira – you name it. Most live chats provide integrations to the main channels. We do not actually utilize integrations that much, but the one we use the most is with Slack. Slack is the principal communication tool in our company, we utilize it on a daily basis and added most of our resources – so we concentrated on how they work and perform with Slack. We analyzed some of these and many are actually working very well. We found one which has huge delays when messaging from and to Slack that was a no-go for all of us. We reported that difficulty to them, but we don’t know if they changed it since we left six months ago. Together with Crisp the integration worked instantly, notifications came immediately and the entire set-up was done in a few minutes.

This one is tricky. If you browse The last few points you noticed that we contrasted the lower tier plans and attribute with the maximum tier programs, some are economical at the start and be expensive as you use them. After using Crisp for six months today, and changed from a competitor because of that pricey”ending” and those attribute we didn’t need but might have to cover. We’re pleased to say we think we have the best fit for us, maybe it will fit as well for you. We saw the listing of 8 facets above is all you need to locate your best match.
