How was that selection made?
Looking at the market leaders With live chat feature out there, we also found Crisp via Producthunt. After we’ve made a Spreadsheet with multiple live chat vendors, we defined the core feature and metrics we were searching for.
What did we use before?
We’ve Used several other live chat before, which shifted their focus from a live conversation to a”all in one company suite”. Their live chat still works, but metrics which are important for us were removed. We have used those metrics for our yearly reports, and client overviews, growth rates and much more. After we were in for four weeks those metrics disappeared and were replaced with other metrics. We have got a leaderboard for our team members, which we did not use because we’re looking for quality service rather than quantity and the pricing seems to outperform the benefit. So our choice was apparent at that moment: we had to proceed.
Chat log
We found 14 days background, 30 days History and history (for greater plans that this is common), here the price scaling was interesting. All live talks we tried had that feature, a few at higher price tagsothers combined with a badly implemented search feature, therefore the history was not available. Together with Crisp, the boundless history is currently available with their first paid program, and it not only ships with a fair price tag, but also their search works exceptionally well.
How many contacts do we need?
First, we tried to answer that Question with another question”how many clients will talk with us” – and that has been incorrect – we made that mistake already once. We can’t limit on the connections we create because we actually want to make contact with them all. Unlimited contacts was exactly what we were searching for (at a reasonable price tag). What we found were chats with 100 active contacts for $0/month that was quite nice, we scaled that up a little to 1,000 active contacts along with the price tag switched from $0/m to ~$125/m or even more (~$500/m). We have had that experience of price scaling for most of the solutions. As we did exactly the Exact Same contact metric test for Crisp we saw something different:
So at Crisp, you do not scale by use – that is enormous! They believe the same way we do at Storyblokwe don’t wish to limit the consumer to the use of this machine (eg. Content entrances or contacts), we would like to scale because their team scales. So at Crisp you choose a program and you may scale the amounts from 10 to 10.000 contacts (or more) with exactly the same price tag.
Trigger events / communications
Automated triggers are Utilized to Send a specific message on predefined events, eg. “a guest is on precisely the same website for over 30 seconds”. Those triggers are a fantastic method to help your viewers with questions they may have. We use it on our pricing page because from time to time there are open questions regarding our pricing, possibly something is not covered in the FAQ section. This component is available in all options we tested and largely available in the first paid program.
Possibility to send campaign emails
From Time to Time we send emails Utilizing our live chat. We think that it’s a good way to retarget our viewers because we ought to be able to send pertinent content according to some metrics people live talks offer. In all honesty, we are not sending many mails, because we also hate spam on the side. So we want to send certain mails to specific target groups and again: we really like the execution in the Crisp customer. It is simple and fulfilled our needs at a sensible price tag.
Number of brokers
The broker seats is kinda Interesting, it’s something that you can control. You could choose one account for the entire group (which can be cheap with most options ), or you might go for one chair for each team member. Since we want to get that personal approach to our customers the idea of using one account for the entire group was dropped immediately. We have begun to compare the very first paid program contrary to most of the high tier programs to see the way the cost scales again. The greatest costs we found were about ~$155/m per seat where the scope was somewhere from $15/m to this. We had a peek at Crisp again and found that their greatest bundle has unlimited agents chairs included. Additionally, their free strategy allowed 2 agents, which was great for testing. Integrations
Everybody enjoys integrations. Integrations to Slack, Telegram, Zendesk, Bitbucket, or Jira – you name it. Most live chats provide integrations into the key stations. We don’t really use integrations that much, but the one we use the most is using Slack. Slack is the main communication tool in our business, we use it on a daily basis and included the majority of our resources – so we concentrated on how they work and function together with Slack. We analyzed some of these and most are actually working very well. We found one which has enormous delays when messaging from and also to Slack that was a no-go for us. We reported that issue to them, but we do not know if they changed it because we left six months ago. Together with Crisp the integration worked instantly, notifications arrived immediately and the whole set-up was completed in a couple of minutes.
Control the client via JavaScript
We are using the chat not Only on the website but also in our application itself. Users may want to report a problem or merely have a fast question about something, therefore the direct integration, and a possibility to initialize and hide/show the client with JavaScript has been a must-have. It was possible with most live chats we’ve attempted, the documentation of Crisp about their JavaScript SDK is clear and well documented so we got that operating in under 30 minutes.
What’s Crisp?
“Crisp is the simplest way To communicate with your customers. From sales to customer support, Crisp is designed to keep your workflow simple. From live chat to email, Crisp offers a single station to reply to your users using a very simple team inbox where you can manage all your user inquiries.”
From our experience, Crisp actually Ships with the focus on that chat experience for the clients. Which is precisely what we were looking for as we evaluated other solutions.
Pricing
This one is tricky. If you read The last few points you saw that we contrasted the lower grade programs and attribute with the highest tier plans, some are economical at the beginning and become costly as you use them. After using Crisp for six months today, and switched from a competition because of the pricey”ending” and those attribute we did not need but might have to pay for. We are pleased to state that we believe we got the best match for us, maybe it will fit as well for you. We found the listing of 8 aspects above is all you need to find your own best fit.
Conclusion
We made contact with unbelievable Fantastic people (thank You!) And businesses all around the world. We could have had the same experience with other live discussions as well, but the price tag combined with the feature set Crisp does provide, we would and already do recommend it to all of customers that are searching for a live chat . We’ve updated to the Crisp unlimited plan some time ago, and are glad that we made that choice.
