Why choose Crisp? Live Chat Software Comparisons
In this article I’ll cover our Experience with Crisp, the reason we changed, and the way it is possible to make the right decision for your company and startup too. You will know how to compare live chats and which metrics could be important for you too. Live Chat Software Comparisons
How was that choice made?
Looking at the market leaders With live chat feature on the market, we found Crisp through Producthunt. After we have made a Spreadsheet with multiple live chat sellers, we identified that the core feature and metrics we were looking for.
What did we use before?
We have Used several other live chat earlier, which shifted their focus from a live conversation to a”all in one company suite”. Their live chat still works, but metrics that are important for us were eliminated. We have used those metrics for our yearly reports, and client overviews, growth rates and more. After we had been in for four months those metrics disappeared and were replaced with other metrics. We have got a leaderboard for our staff members, which we did not use because we are looking for quality support rather than quantity and the pricing appears to outperform the advantage. So our decision was clear at the moment: we needed to proceed.
We found 14 times history, 30 days History and history (for higher plans this is common), here the price scaling was interesting. All live talks we attempted had that feature, some at higher price tagsothers together with a poorly implemented search feature, and so the background was not accessible. Together with Crisp, the unlimited history is already available with their first paid program, and it not only ships with a reasonable price tag, also their hunt works exceptionally well.
How many contacts do we need?
First, we attempted to answer that Question with another question”how many customers will chat with us?” – and that was wrong – we made that mistake once. We can not restrict on the contacts we make because we really want to earn contact with them all. Endless contacts was what we were looking for (at a reasonable price tag). What we found were chats with 100 active contacts for $0/month which was quite pleasant, we climbed that up a little to 1,000 active contacts along with the price tag switched from $0/m to ~$125/m or even more (~$500/m). We have had that experience of cost scaling for most of the solutions. As we did the Exact Same contact metric evaluation for Crisp we watched something different:
So at Crisp, you don’t scale by use – that is huge! They think the same way we do at Storyblokwe don’t wish to restrict the consumer to the usage of this machine (eg. Content entries or contacts), we would like to scale as their staff scales. So at Crisp you select a program and you can scale the amounts from 10 to 10.000 contacts (or more) with exactly the exact same price tag.
Trigger events / messages
Automated triggers are used to Send a specific message on predefined events, eg. “a guest is on the same site for more than 30 seconds”. Those triggers are a fantastic way to help your viewers with questions they could have. We use it on our pricing page since from time to time there are open questions regarding our pricing, maybe something is not covered in the FAQ section. This part can be found in all solutions we analyzed and largely available in the first paid plan.
Possibility to send campaign emails
From Time to Time we send mails Using our live chat. We think it’s a good way to retarget our audience because we should be able to send relevant content based on some metrics those live chats provide. To be honest, we’re not sending many mails, because we hate spam on the side. So we like to send specific emails to particular target groups and : we really enjoy the execution in the Crisp customer. It is straightforward and fulfilled our needs at a sensible price tag.
Amount of brokers
The broker seats is kinda Intriguing, it’s something that you can control. You could choose one accounts for the entire team (which is cheap with the majority of options ), or you might go for a single seat for each team member. Since we like to get that personal approach to our clients the notion of using one accounts for the entire group was dropped immediately. We’ve begun to compare the first paid plan contrary to most of the high tier programs to see how the cost scales . The highest costs we found were about ~$155/m per chair where the range was somewhere from $15/m to this. We had a peek at Crisp again and saw that their highest bundle has unlimited agents chairs included. Additionally, their free plan permitted 2 agents, which was great for testing. Everybody loves integrations. Integrations into Slack, Telegram, Zendesk, Bitbucket, or Jira – you name it. Most live chats provide integrations into the main channels. We don’t really utilize integrations that much, but the one we use the maximum is with Slack. Slack is the principal communication tool in our business, we utilize it on a daily basis and included the majority of our resources already – so we focused on how they work and function with Slack. We analyzed some of these and many are actually working quite well. We found one which has enormous delays when messaging from and to Slack which was a no-go for us. We reported that difficulty to these, but we do not know if they changed it since we left six months ago. With Crisp the integration worked instantly, notifications arrived immediately and the entire set-up was completed in a couple of minutes.
“Crisp is the simplest way To communicate with your customers. From sales to customer support, Crisp is made to keep your workflow simple. From live chat to email, Crisp offers one channel to reply to your users using a very simple team inbox where you can handle all of your user queries.”
From our experience, Crisp really Ships with the focus on such chat experience for the clients. Which is exactly what we were looking for as we evaluated other solutions.
This one is tricky. If you browse The past few points you noticed that we compared the lower grade programs and feature with the maximum tier plans, some are cheap at the start and become expensive as you use them. After using Crisp for six months now, and changed from a competition because of the expensive”end” and those attribute we did not need but might have to cover. We are glad to state that we believe we got the very best fit for us, perhaps it will fit as nicely for you. We found the list of 8 facets above is all you need to locate your best fit.
We made contact with incredible Fantastic people (thank You!) And businesses all over the world. We might have had exactly the same experience with other live chats too, but the price combined with the feature set Crisp does provide, we’d and already do recommend it to all of clients who are searching for a live chat themselves. We have updated to the Crisp unlimited plan some time ago, and are thankful that we made that decision.
