Why choose Crisp? Live Chat Software Market
In this article I’ll cover our Experience with Crisp, the reason we switched, and the way you can make the perfect decision for your company and startup as well. You may know how to compare live chats and which metrics might be important for you too. Live Chat Software Market
How was that selection made?
Looking at the market leaders With live chat feature on the market, we found Crisp through Producthunt. After we’ve created a Spreadsheet with numerous live chat vendors, we defined the core feature and metrics we were searching for.
What did we use previously?
We’ve Used multiple other live chat before, which somehow shifted their focus from a live conversation to an”all in 1 business suite”. Their live chat still works, but metrics that are important for us were eliminated. We’ve used those metrics for our yearly reports, and customer overviews, growth rates and much more. After we were in for four weeks those metrics disappeared and were replaced with other metrics. We’ve got a leaderboard for our staff members, which we didn’t use because we’re looking for quality service rather than quantity and the pricing appears to outperform the benefit. Our choice was clear at that moment: we needed to move on.
We found 14 days background, 30 days History and history (for higher plans that this is common), here the cost scaling was interesting. All live talks we attempted had that feature, some at higher price tagsothers together with a poorly executed search feature, and so the history was not available. With Crisp, the unlimited history is already available with their first paid program, and it not only ships with a fair price tag, but also their search works exceptionally well.
How many contacts do we want?
First, we tried to answer that Question with another question”how many customers will chat with us” – and that has been incorrect – we made that mistake already once. We can’t restrict on the connections we create because we actually wish to earn contact with them all. Endless contacts was what we were searching for (at an affordable price label ). What we found were discussions with 100 active contacts for $0/month that was quite pleasant, we climbed up that a little to 1,000 active contacts along with the price tag switched from $0/m to ~$125/m or more (~$500/m). We’ve had that experience of cost scaling for the majority of the solutions. As we did exactly the same contact metric evaluation for Crisp we saw something different:
So at Crisp, you do not scale by usage – that is huge! They think the same way we do at Storyblok, we don’t wish to limit the user to the usage of the machine (eg. Content entries or contacts), we want to scale as their staff scales. So at Crisp you choose a program and you may scale the numbers from 10 to 10.000 contacts (or more) with the same price tag.
Trigger events / messages
Automated triggers are used to Send a particular message on predefined events, eg. “a guest is on the exact same website for over 30 seconds”. Those triggers are a good method to help your audience with queries they may have. We use it on our pricing page because from time to time there are open questions about our pricing, possibly something isn’t covered in the FAQ section. This part can be found in most options we tested and largely available in the very first paid plan.
Possibility to send campaign messages
From Time to Time we send emails Utilizing our live chat. We think it’s a good way to retarget our viewers because we should have the ability to send relevant content according to some metrics those live talks offer. To be honest, we’re not sending many mails, because we hate spam on our side. So we like to send certain emails to specific target groups and again: we really enjoy the implementation in the Crisp customer. It’s straightforward and satisfied our needs at a sensible price tag.
Amount of agents
The agent chairs is rather Interesting, it is something that you can control. You could choose one account for the entire team (which is cheap with the majority of solutions), or you might go for one seat for every team member. Since we like to get that personal approach to our clients the idea of using one account for the entire team was dropped instantly. We have started to compare the very first paid plan against the majority of the high tier programs to observe how the cost scales again. The highest prices we discovered were about ~$155/m per seat where the range was somewhere from $15/m to that. We had a peek at Crisp again and found their greatest package has unlimited agents chairs included. Additionally, their free plan permitted 2 agents, which was excellent for analyzing. Everybody enjoys integrations. Integrations to Slack, Telegram, Zendesk, Bitbucket, or Jira – you name it. Most live chats offer integrations to the key stations. We do not really use integrations that much, but the one we use the most is using Slack. Slack is the main communication tool in our business, we use it on a daily basis and added most of our tools – so we concentrated on how they work and function together with Slack. We analyzed some of these and many are actually working quite well. We found one that has enormous delays when messaging from and to Slack that was a no-go for all of us. We reported that issue to these, but we don’t know if they changed it since we left six months ago. Together with Crisp the integration worked instantly, notifications came immediately and the whole setup was done in a few minutes.
What is Crisp?
“Crisp is the simplest way To communicate with your clients. From sales to customer service, Crisp is designed to maintain your workflow easy. From live chat to email, Crisp provides a single channel to answer to your users using a very simple team inbox where you can manage all your user queries.”
From our experience, Crisp really Ships with the focus on such chat experience for your customers. Which is exactly what we were searching for as we evaluated other solutions.
This one is tricky. If you browse The past few things you saw that we contrasted the lower grade programs and feature together with the maximum tier plans, some are economical at the beginning and be costly as you use them. After using Crisp for six months today, and switched from a competitor because of that pricey”ending” and those feature we didn’t need but might have to pay for. We’re pleased to say we believe we have the best fit for us, maybe it will fit as nicely for you. We found that the list of 8 facets above is all you need to find your own best fit.
We made contact with unbelievable great people (thank You!) And companies all over the globe. We could have had exactly the same experience with other live chats too, but the price tag combined with the attribute set Crisp does offer, we’d and do recommend it to all customers who are looking for a live chat . We’ve updated to the Crisp unlimited plan a while ago, and are glad we made that choice.
