Why choose Crisp? Live Chat Tool
In this article I’ll cover our Experience with Crisp, why we switched, and how you can make the right choice for your company and startup as well. You will know how to compare live chats and which metrics might be important for you too. Live Chat Tool
How was that choice made?
Taking a Look at the market leaders With live chat feature out there, we found Crisp through Producthunt. After we’ve made a Spreadsheet with multiple live chat vendors, we identified that the core feature and metrics we were searching for.
What did we use previously?
We have Used multiple other live chat before, which shifted their focus from a live chat to a”all in 1 business suite”. Their live chat still works, but metrics which are significant for us were eliminated. We’ve used those metrics for our yearly reports, and client overviews, growth rates and more. After we had been in for four months those metrics disappeared and were replaced by other metrics. We have got a leaderboard for our team members, which we did not use because we are searching for quality support rather than quantity as well as the pricing appears to outperform the advantage. So our choice was apparent at the moment: we had to proceed.
We found 14 days background, 30 days History and history (for higher plans that this is common), here the price scaling was interesting. All live chats we tried had this attribute, a few at higher price tags, others together with a poorly implemented search feature, therefore the history was not available. With Crisp, the boundless history is currently available with their original paid program, and it not only ships with a fair price tag, also their hunt works astoundingly well.
How many contacts do we need?
We attempted to answer that Question with another question”how many clients will chat with us” – and that was incorrect – we made that mistake once. We can not limit on the connections we make because we really wish to make contact with them all. Endless contacts was exactly what we were searching for (in a reasonable price tag). What we found were chats with 100 active contacts for $0/month that was quite nice, we climbed that up a little to 1,000 active contacts and the price tag shifted from $0/m to ~$125/m or even more (~$500/m). We have had that experience of price scaling for most of the solutions. As we did the Exact Same contact metric evaluation for Crisp we saw something different:
So at Crisp, you do not scale by use – which is enormous! They believe the identical way we do in Storyblok, we do not want to restrict the user to the usage of this machine (eg. Content entrances or contacts), we want to scale because their staff scales. So at Crisp you choose a program and you can scale the numbers from 10 to 10.000 contacts (or more) with exactly the same price tag.
Trigger events / messages
Automated triggers are used to Send a specific message on predefined events, eg. “a guest is on the exact same website for over 30 seconds”. Those causes are a good method to help your audience with questions they may have. We use it on our pricing page because from time to time there are open questions regarding our pricing, possibly something is not covered in the FAQ section. This component is available in most solutions we analyzed and mainly available in the very first paid program.
Ability to send campaign messages
From time to time we send emails Utilizing our live chat. We think that it’s a fantastic way to retarget our viewers because we should be able to send pertinent content based on some metrics those live chats provide. In all honesty, we’re not sending many emails, because we also hate spam on the side. So we want to send certain mails to specific target groups and again: we really enjoy the implementation in the Crisp client. It’s simple and satisfied our needs at a sensible price tag.
Amount of brokers
The agent chairs is kinda Intriguing, it is something that you can control. You could choose one accounts for the entire group (which is cheap with the majority of options ), or you could go for a single chair for every team member. Since we like to get that personal approach to our clients the notion of using one account for the entire team was dropped immediately. We’ve started to compare the very first paid program against the majority of the high tier plans to see the way the cost scales again. The highest prices we discovered were approximately ~$155/m per seat where the range was somewhere from $15/m to that. We had a peek at Crisp again and found that their highest package has unlimited agents chairs included. Also, their free strategy permitted 2 representatives, which was excellent for analyzing. Live Chat Tool
Everybody enjoys integrations. Integrations into Slack, Telegram, Zendesk, Bitbucket, or Jira – you name it. Most live chats provide integrations to the main channels. We don’t really use integrations that much, but the one we use the most is using Slack. Slack is the principal communication tool in our company, we utilize it on a daily basis and added most of our tools – so we focused on how they work and function with Slack. We tested some of these and most are actually working quite well. We found one which has huge delays when messaging from and also to Slack that was a no-go for us. We reported that difficulty to them, but we do not know if they changed it because we left six months ago. Together with Crisp the integration worked immediately, notifications came immediately and the whole setup was completed in a few minutes.
What is Crisp?
“Crisp is the simplest way To speak with your clients. From sales to customer service, Crisp is designed to keep your workflow simple. From live chat to email, Crisp provides one channel to answer to your users using a very simple team inbox where you can manage all of your user queries.”
From our experience, Crisp really Ships with the attention on that chat experience for the customers. That is precisely what we were searching for since we evaluated other solutions.
This one is tricky. If you read The last few points you saw that we compared the lower tier plans and feature together with the highest tier plans, some are economical at the beginning and be expensive as you use them. After using Crisp for six months today, and changed from a competitor because of that pricey”ending” and those feature we did not need but would have to pay for. We’re glad to state that we believe we have the very best fit for us, perhaps it will fit as well for you. We found that the listing of 8 facets above is all you need to find your own best match.
We made contact with incredible Fantastic people (thank You!) And companies all over the world. We might have had exactly the same experience with other live chats as well, but the price combined with the feature set Crisp does offer, we’d and do recommend it to all of customers that are looking for a live discussion .
