How was that selection made?
Taking a Look at the market leaders With live chat feature on the market, we found Crisp via Producthunt. After we’ve created a Spreadsheet with multiple live chat sellers, we defined the core feature and metrics we were searching for.
What did we use previously?
We’ve Used multiple other live chat earlier, which somehow shifted their attention from a live conversation to a”all in one business suite”. Their live chat still functions, but metrics that are important for us were eliminated. We’ve used those metrics for our monthly reports, and client overviews, growth rates and much more. After we had been in for four months those metrics disappeared and were replaced with other metrics. We have obtained a leaderboard for our staff members, which we didn’t use because we are looking for quality service rather than quantity as well as the pricing appears to outperform the advantage. Our choice was clear at that moment: we had to move on.
Chat history
We found 14 days background, 30 days History and history (for greater plans that this is common), also here the price scaling was intriguing. All live talks we attempted had that attribute, some at higher price tagsothers combined with a badly executed search feature, and so the history wasn’t accessible. With Crisp, the boundless history is currently available with their original paid plan, and it not only ships with a reasonable price tag, also their hunt works exceptionally well.
How many connections do we need?
First, we tried to answer that Question with another question”how many customers will talk with us” – and that has been incorrect – we made that mistake once. We can’t restrict on the contacts we make because we really wish to make contact with them all. Unlimited contacts was exactly what we were searching for (at a reasonable price label ). What we discovered were discussions with 100 active contacts for $0/month which was quite pleasant, we climbed up that a bit to 1,000 active contacts and the price tag switched from $0/m to ~$125/m or more (~$500/m). We have had that experience of cost scaling for the majority of the solutions. As we did the Exact Same contact metric evaluation for Crisp we watched something different:
So at Crisp, you do not scale by usage – that is huge! They think the same way we do at Storyblokwe do not wish to restrict the consumer to the usage of the system (eg. Content entries or entries ), we would like to scale because their team scales. So at Crisp you select a plan and you can scale the amounts from 10 to 10.000 contacts (or much more ) with the same price tag.
Trigger events / communications
Automated triggers are Utilized to Send a specific message on predefined events, eg. “a guest is on precisely the exact same website for more than 30 seconds”. Those triggers are a fantastic method to help your audience with questions they may have. We use it on our pricing page since from time to time there are open questions about our pricing, possibly something isn’t covered in the FAQ section. This part is available in most options we tested and mainly available in the very first paid program.
Possibility to send campaign messages
From Time to Time we send mails Using our live chat. We think it’s a fantastic way to retarget our audience because we ought to be able to send relevant content based on some metrics those live chats offer. To be honest, we’re not sending many emails, because we also hate spam on our side. Therefore we want to send certain emails to particular target groups and again: we really like the implementation in the Crisp client. It’s straightforward and satisfied our needs at a reasonable price tag.
Amount of brokers
The broker seats is rather Intriguing, it’s something you can control. You could choose 1 account for the whole team (which is cheap with the majority of solutions), or you might go for one chair for every team member. Since we want to get that personal approach to our customers the notion of using one account for the entire group was dropped instantly. We’ve started to compare the very first paid plan against most of the high tier programs to observe the way the cost scales again. The highest costs we found were about ~$155/m per chair where the range was somewhere from $15/m to this. We had a look at Crisp again and found their greatest bundle has unlimited agents chairs included. Additionally, their free strategy permitted 2 agents, which was great for testing. My Contacts

Software Compatibility
Everybody enjoys integrations. Integrations to Slack, Telegram, Zendesk, Bitbucket, or Jira – you name it. Most live chats provide integrations to the key stations. We do not really use integrations that much, but the one we use the most is with Slack. Slack is the principal communication tool in our company, we utilize it on a daily basis and added most of our tools already – so we concentrated on how they operate and perform with Slack. We analyzed some of them and many are actually working quite well. We found one which has enormous delays when messaging from and to Slack which was a no-go for all of us. We reported that difficulty to these, but we do not know if they changed it because we left six months ago. Together with Crisp the integration worked immediately, notifications came immediately and the whole setup was completed in a few minutes.
Control the client via JavaScript
We are using the live chat not Only on the website but also in our application itself. Clients may want to report a problem or merely have a quick question about something, therefore the direct integration, and a option to initialize and hide/show the client with JavaScript was a must-have. It had been possible with the majority of live chats we have attempted, the documentation of Crisp about their JavaScript SDK is clear and well recorded so that we got that operating in less than half an hour.
What is Crisp?
“Crisp is the simplest way To communicate with your clients. From sales to client service, Crisp is designed to maintain your workflow easy. From live chat to email, Crisp offers a single channel to answer to your users using a simple team inbox where you are able to handle all of your user queries.”
From our experience, Crisp actually Ships with the focus on that chat experience for the clients. That is precisely what we were searching for since we evaluated other solutions.
Cost
This one is tricky. If you browse The past few things you saw that we compared the lower tier programs and feature together with the highest tier plans, some are economical at the start and become costly as you use them. After using Crisp for six months now, and changed from a competition because of that pricey”end” and those attribute we did not need but would have to cover. We’re pleased to say we think we have the very best fit for us, maybe it will fit as nicely for you. We saw that the list of 8 aspects above is all you need to find your best fit.
Wrap-up
We made contact with incredible Fantastic people (thank You!) And companies all around the world. We could have had the exact same experience with other live discussions as well, but the price combined with the attribute set Crisp does provide, we would and do recommend it to all of clients that are searching for a live chat themselves. We have updated to the Crisp unlimited plan some time ago, and are thankful we made that choice.
