Why choose Crisp? Online Offline
In this article I’ll cover our Expertise with Crisp, why we changed, and how you can make the right choice for your company and startup as well. You will know how to compare live chats and which metrics might be significant for you also. Online Offline
How was that choice made?
Taking a Look at the market leaders With live chat feature on the market, we found Crisp through Producthunt. After we’ve created a Spreadsheet with multiple live chat sellers, we defined the core attribute and metrics we were looking for.
What did we use previously?
We have Used several other live chat earlier, which somehow shifted their focus from a live conversation to a”all in 1 company suite”. Their live chat still works, but metrics that are significant for us were removed. We’ve used those metrics for our monthly reports, and customer overviews, growth rates and much more. After we were in for four months those metrics vanished and were replaced with other metrics. We have obtained a leaderboard for our staff members, which we did not use because we’re looking for quality support rather than quantity as well as the pricing seems to outperform the advantage. Our decision was clear at the moment: we needed to proceed.
We found 14 times background, 30 days History and history (for higher plans this is common), here the price scaling was intriguing. All live talks we attempted had this attribute, a few at higher price tagsothers combined with a badly executed search feature, and so the background wasn’t accessible. Together with Crisp, the boundless history is currently available with their first paid plan, and it not only ships with a fair price tag, but also their search works exceptionally well.
How many contacts do we want?
We tried to answer that Question with another question”how many clients will talk with us” – and that has been wrong – we made that mistake once. We can not limit on the contacts we create because we really wish to earn contact with them all. Endless contacts was what we were looking for (at an affordable price tag). What we discovered were chats with 100 active contacts for $0/month that was quite nice, we climbed up that a little to 1,000 active contacts and the price tag shifted from $0/m to ~$125/m or even more (~$500/m). We’ve had that experience of cost scaling for most of the solutions. As we did exactly the same contact metric test for Crisp we saw something different:
So at Crisp, you do not scale by use – that is huge! They think the identical way we do at Storyblokwe do not wish to restrict the consumer to the use of the machine (eg. Content entrances or entries ), we would like to scale because their team scales. So at Crisp you choose a program and you can scale the amounts from 10 to 10.000 contacts (or more) with exactly the exact same price tag.
Trigger events / communications
Automated triggers are used to Send a specific message on predefined events, eg. “a visitor is on precisely the exact same website for over 30 seconds”. Those causes are a fantastic method to help your audience with questions they may have. We use it on our pricing page since from time to time there are open questions regarding our pricing, possibly something is not covered in the FAQ section. This part is available in most options we analyzed and largely available in the first paid plan.
Possibility to send campaign messages
From time to time we send mails Utilizing our live chat. We think that it’s a fantastic way to retarget our viewers because we should be able to send pertinent content based on some metrics those live chats offer. To be honest, we’re not sending many mails, because we also hate spam on the side. Therefore we want to send certain emails to specific target groups and again: we really enjoy the implementation in the Crisp customer. It’s straightforward and fulfilled our needs at a sensible price tag.
Number of agents
The broker seats is rather Interesting, it’s something you can control. You could choose 1 account for the whole team (which is cheap with the majority of options ), or you might go for one chair for each team member. Since we want to get this personal approach to our customers the idea of using one accounts for the entire group was dropped instantly. We have started to compare the very first paid plan contrary to most of the high tier plans to see how the cost scales . The highest costs we found were about ~$155/m per seat where the scope was somewhere from $15/m to this. We had a peek at Crisp again and found that their greatest package has unlimited agents seats included. Also, their free plan allowed 2 representatives, which was excellent for analyzing. Everybody loves integrations. Integrations into Slack, Telegram, Zendesk, Bitbucket, or Jira – you name it. Most live chats provide integrations to the main stations. We don’t really use integrations that much, but the one we use the most is with Slack. Slack is the principal communication tool in our business, we use it on a daily basis and added the majority of our resources already – so we concentrated on how they work and perform together with Slack. We analyzed some of these and most are actually working very well. We found one which has huge delays when messaging from and also to Slack which was a no-go for us. We reported that difficulty to these, but we don’t know whether they changed it because we left six months ago. With Crisp the integration worked immediately, notifications came immediately and the whole set-up was done in a couple of minutes.
What is Crisp?
“Crisp is the simplest way To communicate with your customers. From sales to client service, Crisp is designed to keep your workflow easy. From live chat to email, Crisp provides a single channel to answer to your users using a very simple team inbox where you are able to handle all of your user queries.”
From our experience, Crisp actually Ships with the focus on such chat experience for the clients. That is precisely what we were searching for since we evaluated other alternatives.
This one is tricky. If you read The past few things you noticed that we compared the lower grade plans and feature together with the highest tier plans, some are economical at the start and become expensive as you use them. After using Crisp for six months now, and changed from a competition because of the expensive”end” and those attribute we did not need but might have to pay for. We are glad to say we believe we got the best match for us, maybe it will fit as well for you. We saw that the list of 8 aspects above is all you want to find your best match.
We made contact with unbelievable great people (thank You!) And companies all around the world. We might have had the exact same experience with other live chats too, but the price tag combined with the attribute set Crisp does provide, we’d and already do recommend it to all customers that are searching for a live discussion themselves. We have upgraded to the Crisp endless plan a while ago, and are thankful that we made that decision.
