How was that choice made?
Taking a Look at the market leaders With live chat feature out there, we found Crisp through Producthunt. After we’ve made a Spreadsheet with numerous live chat sellers, we identified that the core attribute and metrics we were searching for.
What did we use before?
We’ve Used several other live chat before, which somehow shifted their focus from a live chat to a”all in 1 company suite”. Their live chat still works, but metrics which are significant for us were eliminated. We’ve used those metrics for our yearly reports, and client overviews, growth rates and much more. After we were in for four months those metrics disappeared and were replaced with other metrics. We’ve got a leaderboard for our team members, which we didn’t use because we’re looking for quality service rather than quantity as well as the pricing seems to outperform the benefit. Our choice was clear at that moment: we needed to proceed.
We found 14 days history, 30 days History and unlimited history (for higher plans this is common), here the cost scaling was intriguing. All live talks we attempted had that feature, a few at higher price tagsothers combined with a badly executed search feature, and so the background wasn’t accessible. With Crisp, the unlimited history is currently available with their original paid plan, and it not only ships with a fair price tag, also their search works astoundingly well.
How many contacts do we need?
First, we tried to answer that Question with another question”how many clients will chat with us” – and that has been incorrect – we made that mistake once. We can’t limit on the contacts we make because we actually want to make contact with them all. Endless contacts was exactly what we were searching for (in an affordable price tag). What we found were discussions with 100 active contacts for $0/month that was quite nice, we climbed that up a little to 1,000 active contacts along with the price tag switched from $0/m to ~$125/m or more (~$500/m). We have had that experience of cost scaling for the majority of the solutions. As we did exactly the same contact metric evaluation for Crisp we watched something different:
So at Crisp, you do not scale by use – which is enormous! They believe the identical way we do in Storyblok, we don’t wish to limit the user to the usage of the system (eg. Content entrances or entries ), we want to scale because their staff scales. So at Crisp you choose a plan and you can scale the amounts from 10 to 10.000 contacts (or more) with the same price tag.
Trigger events / communications
Automated triggers are used to Send a specific message on predefined events, eg. “a guest is on the exact same website for more than 30 seconds”. Those causes are a good method to help your viewers with queries they could have. We use it on our pricing page because from time to time there are open questions regarding our pricing, possibly something isn’t covered in the FAQ section. This part is available in all options we tested and mainly available in the first paid plan.
Possibility to send campaign emails
From Time to Time we send mails Utilizing our live chat. We think that it’s a good way to retarget our audience because we ought to have the ability to send pertinent content based on some metrics people live talks provide. In all honesty, we are not sending many emails, because we hate spam on the side. Therefore we like to send certain mails to specific target groups and again: we really enjoy the implementation in the Crisp client. It is simple and fulfilled our needs at a reasonable price tag.
Number of agents
The agent seats is rather Interesting, it’s something that you can control. You could choose one account for the whole group (which is cheap with the majority of options ), or you could go for one chair for every team member. Since we like to get that personal approach to our customers the idea of using one account for the entire team was dropped instantly. We’ve started to compare the first paid plan against most of the high tier plans to observe how the price scales . The greatest prices we found were about ~$155/m per chair where the scope was somewhere from $15/m to that. We had a look at Crisp again and saw that their greatest package has unlimited agents seats included. Additionally, their free strategy permitted 2 agents, which was excellent for testing. Everybody loves integrations. Integrations into Slack, Telegram, Zendesk, Bitbucket, or Jira – you name it. Most live chats provide integrations into the key channels. We don’t actually use integrations that much, but the one we use the maximum is with Slack. Slack is the main communication tool in our company, we utilize it on a daily basis and added most of our tools – so we focused on how they operate and perform with Slack. We analyzed some of these and many are actually working quite well. We found one which has enormous delays when messaging from and to Slack that was a no-go for all of us. We reported that issue to them, but we do not know if they changed it because we left six months ago. With Crisp the integration worked instantly, notifications came immediately and the entire set-up was done in a couple of minutes.
“Crisp is the simplest way To speak with your customers. From sales to client service, Crisp is made to keep your workflow simple. From live chat to email, Crisp offers one station to answer to your users using a very simple team inbox where you are able to handle all of your user queries.”
From our experience, Crisp really Ships with the focus on that chat experience for the clients. That is exactly what we were searching for as we evaluated other solutions.
This one is tricky. If you read The last few points you noticed that we contrasted the lower grade plans and attribute together with the highest tier programs, some are cheap at the start and be costly as you use them. After using Crisp for six months today, and changed from a competition because of the expensive”end” and those attribute we didn’t need but would have to pay for. We’re pleased to say that we think we got the best match for us, maybe it will fit as nicely for you. We found that the list of 8 aspects above is all you need to find your own best match.
We made contact with incredible Fantastic people (thank You!) And companies all over the world. We might have had the exact same experience with other live discussions as well, but the price combined with the feature set Crisp does offer, we’d and already do recommend it to all of customers that are searching for a live chat themselves. We’ve upgraded to the Crisp endless plan some time ago, and are thankful we made that decision.
