Why choose Crisp? Web Chat Widget
In this article I’ll cover our Experience with Crisp, the reason we changed, and how it is possible to make the right choice for your business and startup as well. You may understand how to compare live talks and that metrics might be significant for you too. Web Chat Widget
How was that decision made?
Taking a Look at the market leaders With live chat feature on the market, we found Crisp via Producthunt. After we have created a Spreadsheet with numerous live chat vendors, we identified that the core attribute and metrics we were looking for.
What did we use previously?
We’ve Used multiple other live chat before, which shifted their attention from a live chat to an”all in one company suite”. Their live chat still works, but metrics which are important for us were removed. We’ve used those metrics for our monthly reports, and customer overviews, growth rates and much more. After we were in for four weeks those metrics vanished and were replaced with other metrics. We have obtained a leaderboard for our team members, which we didn’t use because we are looking for quality service and not quantity as well as the pricing appears to outperform the advantage. Our choice was clear at the moment: we needed to proceed.
We found 14 days background, 30 days History and history (for greater plans this is common), here the price scaling was intriguing. All live chats we tried had this feature, some at higher price tagsothers together with a badly executed search feature, therefore the background was not available. With Crisp, the unlimited history is already available with their first paid plan, and it not only ships with a reasonable price tag, also their hunt works exceptionally well.
How many contacts do we want?
We attempted to answer that Question with another question”how many clients will chat with us” – and that has been wrong – we made that mistake already once. We can’t restrict on the contacts we create because we actually wish to make contact with all of them. Unlimited contacts was what we were searching for (at an affordable price tag). What we found were chats with 100 active contacts for $0/month which was quite nice, we scaled up that a bit to 1,000 active contacts and the price tag switched from $0/m to ~$125/m or more (~$500/m). We have had that experience of price scaling for most of the solutions. As we did exactly the same contact metric evaluation for Crisp we saw something different:
So at Crisp, you do not scale by usage – which is huge! They think the identical way we do in Storyblok, we don’t want to limit the consumer to the use of the system (eg. Content entrances or entries ), we would like to scale because their team scales. So at Crisp you select a plan and you may scale the amounts from 10 to 10.000 contacts (or much more ) with exactly the exact same price tag.
Trigger events / communications
Automated triggers are Utilized to Send a particular message on predefined events, eg. “a guest is on precisely the same site for over 30 seconds”. Those triggers are a good way to help your audience with questions they may have. We use it on our pricing page since from time to time there are open questions about our pricing, possibly something is not covered in the FAQ section. This component is available in all solutions we analyzed and mainly available in the first paid program.
Ability to send campaign emails
From Time to Time we send mails Utilizing our live chat. We think it’s a good way to retarget our viewers because we should have the ability to send relevant content according to some metrics those live talks provide. To be honest, we are not sending many mails, because we also hate spam on our side. Therefore we like to send certain mails to specific target groups and again: we really enjoy the execution in the Crisp client. It’s simple and satisfied our needs at a sensible price tag.
Number of agents
The agent seats is rather Interesting, it is something you can control. You could choose 1 account for the whole team (which is cheap with most solutions), or you could go for a single chair for every team member. Since we like to get that personal approach to our customers the notion of using one accounts for the whole team was dropped immediately. We have started to compare the very first paid plan against the majority of the high tier plans to see how the price scales . The greatest costs we found were approximately ~$155/m per chair where the range was somewhere from $15/m to this. We had a peek at Crisp again and found that their highest package has unlimited agents chairs included. Additionally, their free strategy permitted 2 agents, which was great for analyzing. Everybody enjoys integrations. Integrations to Slack, Telegram, Zendesk, Bitbucket, or Jira – you name it. Most live chats provide integrations into the key stations. We do not actually utilize integrations that much, but the one we use the most is using Slack. Slack is the main communication tool in our business, we use it on a daily basis and added most of our resources already – so we concentrated on how they operate and perform together with Slack. We tested some of these and many are actually working very well. We found one which has huge delays when messaging from and also to Slack which was a no-go for all of us. We reported that issue to them, but we do not know if they changed it since we left six months ago. With Crisp the integration worked instantly, notifications came immediately and the whole setup was completed in a couple of minutes.
What is Crisp?
“Crisp is the simplest way To speak with your customers. From sales to client support, Crisp is designed to maintain your workflow simple. From live chat to email, Crisp provides one station to reply to your users using a simple team inbox where you are able to manage all of your user inquiries.”
From our experience, Crisp actually Ships with the attention on that chat experience for your clients. Which is exactly what we were searching for as we evaluated other alternatives.
This one is tricky. If you browse The past few things you noticed that we contrasted the lower grade plans and feature together with the maximum tier plans, some are economical at the beginning and be costly as you use them. After using Crisp for six months today, and switched from a competition because of the expensive”ending” and those attribute we didn’t need but would need to cover. We are glad to say that we think we have the best fit for us, maybe it will fit as well for you. We found the listing of 8 facets above is all you want to locate your best match.
We made contact with incredible great people (thank You!) And companies all over the globe. We could have had the exact same experience with other live discussions too, but the price combined with the attribute set Crisp does offer, we’d and do recommend it to all of customers that are looking for a live chat themselves. We’ve updated to the Crisp unlimited plan a while ago, and are glad that we made that choice.
