Why choose Crisp? Weird Chat
In this article I’ll cover our Expertise with Crisp, why we changed, and how you can make the right decision for your company and startup too. You may know how to compare live chats and which metrics could be important for you too. Weird Chat
How was that choice made?
Taking a Look at the market leaders With live chat feature on the market, we found Crisp through Producthunt. After we’ve made a Spreadsheet with multiple live chat vendors, we defined the core attribute and metrics we were looking for.
What did we use before?
We have Used multiple other live chat before, which shifted their focus from a live conversation to a”all in 1 company suite”. Their live chat still functions, but metrics which are important for us were eliminated. We have used those metrics for our monthly reports, and customer overviews, growth rates and much more. After we had been in for four months those metrics disappeared and were replaced by other metrics. We’ve got a leaderboard for our team members, which we did not use because we are searching for quality support and not quantity as well as the pricing seems to outperform the benefit. So our choice was clear at that moment: we needed to move on.
We found 14 days background, 30 days History and unlimited history (for higher plans this is common), here the price scaling was interesting. All live chats we attempted had this attribute, a few at higher price tags, others together with a poorly implemented search feature, therefore the history was not accessible. With Crisp, the boundless history is currently available with their original paid plan, and it not only ships with a reasonable price tag, also their search works astoundingly well.
How many connections do we want?
We attempted to answer that Question with another question”how many customers will chat with us?” – and that was wrong – we made that mistake once. We can’t restrict on the contacts we create because we really wish to earn contact with them all. Endless contacts was what we were looking for (at a reasonable price label ). What we discovered were discussions with 100 active contacts for $0/month which was quite pleasant, we scaled that up a bit to 1,000 active contacts along with the price tag shifted from $0/m to ~$125/m or even more (~$500/m). We’ve had that experience of price scaling for the majority of the solutions. As we did the Exact Same contact metric evaluation for Crisp we watched something different:
So at Crisp, you don’t scale by use – that is enormous! They think the identical way we do in Storyblokwe do not want to restrict the consumer to the usage of this machine (eg. Content entries or entries ), we want to scale as their team scales. So at Crisp you select a program and you can scale the amounts from 10 to 10.000 contacts (or much more ) with exactly the same price tag.
Trigger events / messages
Automated triggers are Utilized to Send a particular message on predefined events, eg. “a guest is on precisely the exact same website for more than 30 seconds”. Those triggers are a fantastic method to help your audience with queries they could have. We use it on our pricing page since from time to time there are open questions about our pricing, maybe something isn’t covered in the FAQ section. This component can be found in most options we analyzed and largely available in the first paid program.
Possibility to send campaign messages
From time to time we send mails Using our live chat. We think it’s a good way to retarget our viewers because we ought to be able to send pertinent content based on some metrics those live chats offer. In all honesty, we’re not sending many mails, because we hate spam on our side. So we want to send specific mails to specific target groups and again: we really enjoy the execution in the Crisp client. It’s simple and fulfilled our needs at a reasonable price tag.
Amount of agents
The broker seats is rather Intriguing, it’s something you can control. You could choose 1 accounts for the whole team (which is cheap with the majority of solutions), or you could go for a single chair for each team member. Since we like to have this personal approach to our customers the notion of using one accounts for the entire team was dropped immediately. We’ve begun to compare the very first paid plan against most of the high tier plans to see how the cost scales . The greatest prices we discovered were about ~$155/m per seat where the range was somewhere from $15/m to this. We had a look at Crisp again and saw their highest bundle has unlimited agents chairs included. Also, their free plan allowed 2 representatives, which was excellent for analyzing. Weird Chat
Everybody loves integrations. Integrations into Slack, Telegram, Zendesk, Bitbucket, or Jira – you name it. Most live chats provide integrations to the key stations. We do not really use integrations that much, but the one we use the most is with Slack. Slack is the main communication tool in our business, we use it on a daily basis and added most of our tools already – so we concentrated on how they operate and perform with Slack. We tested some of these and most are actually working quite well. We found one which has enormous delays when messaging from and also to Slack that was a no-go for all of us. We reported that issue to them, but we do not know whether they changed it because we left six months ago. Together with Crisp the integration worked instantly, notifications came immediately and the whole setup was completed in a couple of minutes.
What is Crisp?
“Crisp is the simplest way To speak with your clients. From sales to customer service, Crisp is designed to keep your workflow easy. From live chat to email, Crisp provides a single station to answer to your users employing a simple team inbox where you can handle all your user inquiries.”
From our experience, Crisp actually Ships with all the focus on such chat experience for the clients. That is precisely what we were looking for as we evaluated other alternatives.
This one is tricky. If you read The last few points you saw that we contrasted the lower tier programs and feature together with the highest tier plans, some are cheap at the beginning and become expensive as you use them. After using Crisp for six months today, and switched from a competitor because of the pricey”ending” and those feature we didn’t need but would have to cover. We’re pleased to state we think we have the best fit for us, perhaps it will fit as nicely for you. We saw that the list of 8 aspects above is all you want to find your own best fit.
We made contact with unbelievable Fantastic people (thank You!) And businesses all around the globe. We might have had the same experience with other live chats as well, but the price tag combined with the feature set Crisp does provide, we’d and do recommend it to all clients who are searching for a live discussion themselves. We’ve updated to the Crisp unlimited plan a while ago, and are thankful we made that decision.
