How was that decision made?
Looking at the market leaders With live chat feature out there, we found Crisp via Producthunt. After we’ve made a Spreadsheet with numerous live chat sellers, we defined the core feature and metrics we were searching for.
What did we use before?
We have Used several other live chat earlier, which somehow shifted their focus from a live chat to an”all in 1 business suite”. Their live chat still functions, but metrics that are significant for us were removed. We have used those metrics for our yearly reports, and client overviews, growth rates and much more. After we had been in for four months those metrics disappeared and were replaced by other metrics. We have obtained a leaderboard for our team members, which we did not use because we are looking for quality support and not quantity as well as the pricing seems to outperform the advantage. Our decision was clear at the moment: we needed to move on.
Chat history
We found 14 times history, 30 days History and history (for greater plans this is common), also here the cost scaling was intriguing. All live talks we attempted had this attribute, a few at higher price tagsothers together with a badly implemented search feature, and so the history wasn’t available. Together with Crisp, the boundless history is currently available with their original paid program, and it not only ships with a reasonable price tag, but also their hunt works astoundingly well.
How many contacts do we need?
We tried to answer that Question with another question”how many clients will chat with us” – and that has been incorrect – we made that mistake already once. We can’t restrict on the contacts we create because we actually want to earn contact with them all. Unlimited contacts was what we were looking for (in an affordable price label ). What we discovered were chats with 100 active contacts for $0/month which was quite nice, we climbed that up a bit to 1,000 active contacts along with the price tag switched from $0/m to ~$125/m or more (~$500/m). We’ve had that experience of cost scaling for the majority of the solutions. As we did the Exact Same contact metric test for Crisp we saw something different:
So at Crisp, you don’t scale by use – that is enormous! They think the same way we do in Storyblok, we don’t wish to limit the user to the usage of the system (eg. Content entries or contacts), we want to scale as their team scales. So at Crisp you select a program and you may scale the amounts from 10 to 10.000 contacts (or more) with exactly the same price tag.
Trigger events / communications
Automated triggers are Utilized to Send a specific message on predefined events, eg. “a visitor is on the exact same site for over 30 seconds”. Those causes are a fantastic method to help your viewers with queries they may have. We use it on our pricing page because from time to time there are open questions about our pricing, possibly something is not covered in the FAQ section. This part is available in all options we analyzed and mainly available in the very first paid program.
Possibility to send campaign emails
From Time to Time we send emails Utilizing our live chat. We think it’s a good way to retarget our viewers because we ought to be able to send relevant content based on some metrics people live talks offer. To be honest, we’re not sending many emails, because we also hate spam on our side. So we want to send certain emails to specific target groups and again: we really like the implementation in the Crisp client. It is straightforward and satisfied our needs at a sensible price tag.
Amount of brokers
The broker chairs is kinda Interesting, it is something that you can control. You could choose one accounts for the whole team (which is cheap with the majority of options ), or you might go for one chair for every team member. Since we want to get this personal approach to our clients the notion of using one accounts for the whole group was dropped instantly. We have begun to compare the first paid plan against the majority of the high tier plans to see how the price scales again. The highest costs we discovered were about ~$155/m per chair where the range was somewhere from $15/m to this. We had a look at Crisp again and found that their greatest bundle has unlimited agents seats included. Additionally, their free strategy permitted 2 agents, which was great for testing. What Is Dpa

Software Compatibility
Everybody enjoys integrations. Integrations to Slack, Telegram, Zendesk, Bitbucket, or Jira – you name it. Most live chats offer integrations to the key channels. We do not actually use integrations that much, but the one we use the most is with Slack. Slack is the principal communication tool in our business, we utilize it on a daily basis and added most of our resources already – so we focused on how they work and perform together with Slack. We tested some of these and many are actually working very well. We found one that has enormous delays when messaging from and to Slack that was a no-go for all of us. We reported that issue to them, but we don’t know whether they changed it since we left six months ago. Together with Crisp the integration worked instantly, notifications came immediately and the whole set-up was done in a few minutes.
Control the client via JavaScript
We are using the chat not Only on the website but also in our program itself. Clients may want to report an issue or merely have a quick question about something, hence the direct integration, and a option to initialize and hide/show the customer with JavaScript was a must-have. It was possible with most live chats we have attempted, the documentation of Crisp about their JavaScript SDK is crystal clear and well documented so we got that running in less than 30 minutes.

Cost
This one is tricky. If you browse The past few things you saw that we compared the lower grade programs and attribute together with the highest tier programs, some are economical at the beginning and become expensive as you use them. After using Crisp for six months today, and changed from a competitor because of that pricey”end” and those attribute we didn’t need but would need to pay for. We’re pleased to state we think we got the very best fit for us, perhaps it will fit as nicely for you. We saw the listing of 8 facets above is all you need to find your own best fit.
Wrap-up
We made contact with incredible Fantastic people (thank You!) And businesses all around the globe.
